Kudos to Hoopstars 6th grade for achieving runner-up in their inaugural travel ball season, securing wins in their opening set of games. It's impressive to see the team's determination and commitment to never stop believing in themselves. Additionally, commendations go to 7th grade gold for emerging victorious in the shootout. Notably, the 8th grade team's performance was the best we've seen, starting the day 3-0 on Saturday, showcasing all Hoopstars teams' hard work, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the game.

With a heavy heart, I must announce that one of the original NW Hoopstars has ascended to eternal glory, joining her Savior's court, where she now engages in a heavenly game of one-on-one with Him. Chelsea Marshall's remarkable journey came to an end due to complications from a diabetic coma. Though she shone brightly on the basketball court, her true greatness lay in her beautiful spirit, radiant smile, and generous heart. Her legacy lives on through the gold and purple colors of the Hoopstars, which she inspired. Let us lift our prayers and support to her children and family during this challenging time, celebrating her life and legacy with joy and gratitude.

NW Hoopstars would like to welcome you to another season or your first season. As we celebrate our 26th season as an organization, we wish to express our gratitude and commitment to the community. We want to take a moment to touch base with everyone regarding what to expect this season. Please be advised that some tournaments for younger teams may be canceled due to insufficient participation, which may require teams to seek alternative tournaments in different cities. Additionally, some high school tournaments may combine teams. Regarding game conduct, we kindly remind everyone that referee decisions are final, and respectful communication is essential. Unsportsmanlike behavior, including yelling or degradation, will not be tolerated as it reflects poorly on the team and organization. Scorekeepers are kindly requested to maintain a professional demeanor, refraining from cursing or disrespecting referees. In the unfortunate event of injuries, we ask that you remember that they are a natural part of the game and are typically unintentional. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on apparel sales to support our players, including purchasing cards and gift cards for injured players, as well as sending condolences to families in need. Last season, we had six players injured and sadly lost a father of one of our families. We encourage you to support our apparel sales to help us continue our support for the players. If any issues arise, please do not hesitate to contact me. Here's to a great spring season.
