This month, Hancock Leadership explored the many organizations and partnerships supporting health and wellness in our community! Participants visited The Family Center and City Mission of Findlay, heard from local healthcare leaders and met with three nonprofits as they prepare to select their class project (stay tuned for that announcement in January!).

A big thank you to Blanchard Valley Health System for sponsoring the day and to all of our community partners who shared their time and expertise!

Hancock County's approach to mental health, addiction and recovery has changed dramatically over the past decade, and there are measurable results.

On this week's episode of Chamber Amplified, Doug Jenkins is joined by Zach Thomas of the Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Services to discuss the county's behavioral health system, the decline in overdose fatalities, efforts to connect more people with treatment and recovery services, and how attitudes surrounding addiction and recovery have evolved.

Last week, our Chamber Ambassadors gathered to celebrate CHOPIN Hall's newly expanded Community Garden!

This special space does more than grow fresh produce. It brings neighbors together through hands-on gardening opportunities while helping support local families in need. Everything grown by the Master Gardeners is donated directly to Chopin Hall, providing fresh produce to those facing food insecurity in our community. Congratulations to Chopin Hall on this wonderful expansion and the positive impact it will continue to make throughout Hancock County!

Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating with longtime members Ben & Mandy Stevens of Journey Salon & Day Spa as they opened a second business in downtown Findlay!

Little Stories Studio Findlay is an early learning studio where little ones & their parents can learn, play, and grow together. We’re excited to welcome this new addition to downtown and look forward to the imagination, creativity, & connection it will bring to our community!

We started the day with a wonderful discussion on Imposter Syndrome at our Women's Mentoring Connection! Thank you to our panelists, Ashley Bell, Pam Hamlin, Jennifer Payne-Dysinger, and Kiya Yeater, and facilitator Rachel Ge**er for sharing their insights and personal experiences on this topic that resonates with so many.

Thank you as well to our sponsors, RooBarb Studios, Beagle's Cottage Blooms, Travelin' Tom's Coffee of Findlay, and PromoHits! Ltd., for their support. We hope everyone enjoyed the conversation and left feeling inspired and empowered!

Congratulations to the Sheetz Distribution Center on their grand opening!

We're excited to celebrate this significant investment in our region and look forward to a continued partnership for years to come. We can't wait to see the positive impact Sheetz will have on our business community and beyond.

Fun fact: One of the photos highlights the Robinson family, with one member leading the Sheetz Distribution Center and another who oversee special projects for The Alliance office. Small-world connections like these are what make our community so special!
