We connect stakeholders to advance workforce excellence. Our efforts support talent development along the cradle-to-career continuum.

Raise the Bar - Hancock County is a partnership of education, business, social services and community leaders focused on aligning and integrating the Hancock County, Ohio community learning system with economic growth and a high quality of life. In addition, help industry fill the job vacancies of today and in the near term. The mission statement for this organization is “to connect a trained labor force with Findlay Hancock County businesses to meet their workforce needs”.

One of the top skills Hancock County's employers expect is COLLABORATION.

Why? Because collaboration infuses the daily operations of our community. Findlay-Hancock County champions collaboration in a form that most other communitites cannot replicate. We do not try to solve problems in isolation--we bring the partners to the table to devise the best solutions for the greater good.

Today's special groundbreaking ceremony for our community's flood mitigation efforts perfectly demonstrated the extent to which Findlay-Hancock County relies on and cherishes collaboration. From business owners to corporate leadership to community services to government, the team accomplished something the City of Findlay has needed since 1913.

As Raise the Bar Hancock County continues to develop the skills our community expects and celebrates, we will focus on building collaborative, servent-minded community leaders just like those who worked for the past 20 years to bring this critical solution to reality.

We spent part of our day hosting some professional development sessions with Hancock County Educational Service Center.

We worked with Molly Hosler from Cory-Rawson Local Schools on some additional YouScience PD for our nine districts using the platform in Hancock County.

We also continued our conversation on the 7th and 8th grade career connections course to help provide our districts the resources they need to make this a meaningful and successful course for students.

This month with Hancock Leadership, our Workforce Program Specialist, Ashley, explored the many organizations and partnerships supporting health and human services in our community! From visiting local organizations to hearing from healthcare and human service leaders, the day highlighted the important work happening across Hancock County to support individuals and families.

Experiences like these help strengthen our understanding of the resources available in our community and the partnerships that make a difference.

A big thank you to Blanchard Valley Health System for sponsoring the day and to all of the community partners who shared their time and expertise!

Yesterday, our Workforce Program Specialist, Ashley, attended Findlay - Hancock County Chamber of Commerce Fresh Brewed Business. Listening and learning about what is “On The Horizon In Hancock County” was a great way to start the morning. Great things happen here!

What an amazing day! 🎉

Last Friday, Career Connections Day brought together over 800 Hancock County 8th graders and more than 30 local businesses and organizations for a day of exploring careers, trying new things, asking questions, and making connections.

A huge thank you to all of the businesses and organizations who brought their time, energy, and creativity to make the day so engaging for students. And thank you to our schools, teachers, and staff for preparing students and helping make the day possible!

Families, ask your 8th grader what they did today. You might be surprised by what they discovered👀

What an exciting day for our region! 🎉

Congratulations to the Sheetz Distribution Center on its grand opening and this exciting investment in our community!

We’re especially excited about what this means for our workforce. New businesses and expansions bring new career opportunities, create pathways for people to grow, and strengthen the connections between local employers and the talent that makes our region such a great place to live and work!

We love celebrating moments like this because they represent more than a new facility…they represent opportunity, growth, and a bright future for our workforce.
