One of Rotary’s missions has been to eradicate polio throughout the world. This quarter, our club will be donating money to that cause. Together, we can make a difference in our world and the safety of our children.

Every spring, thousands of tulips bloom across Europe. Some of them carry a special message.

For more than a decade, Rotary members in the Netherlands have sold End Polio Now tulip bulbs, transforming a beloved national symbol into a means of supporting End Polio Now 💛

One flower at a time, they're helping create a healthier future for children everywhere 🌷

Sheriff Mike Cortez and his wife, Amy, shared information about Code Forty 4, a proactive program launched in 2020 supporting personal wellness for officers. Code Forty 4 means “officer needs help”. Officers go through 800-900 traumatic incidents in their lifetime. Mental health support and self-care is critical to helping them cope.

Amy shared that she left the corporate world after recognizing the need for resources for families in addition to the officers. She shared the importance not only to support the officers but also to help families deal with a loss and to recognize the impact the job has on law enforcement. Listen to Amy’s podcast or visit the website for more information.

September 20th is a 5k fundraiser for Su***de Awareness. Visit the website for more information.

Wil Schroeder, Off the Streets Findlay, shared how the organization collects donations of furniture and household goods and delivers them to families transitioning from homelessness back to a place of their own. Referrals come from local organizations.

Volunteers help organize and coordinate donations and deliveries. In four months they have made 21 deliveries.

They also accept monetary donations to help with purchasing new mattresses and bed frames, security deposits and delivery truck rentals.

The warehouse is located at 6000 Fostoria Avenue and has been provided by Ohio Logistics. Donations are accepted the first Saturday of the month from 12:30-2:00.
