HHWP Community Action Commission (HHWP CAC) is conducting a Community Needs Assessment Survey to better understand the strengths, challenges, and needs of individuals and families in Hancock, Hardin, Putnam, and Wyandot counties.

Your feedback helps us plan and improve local programs and services, including housing and energy assistance, transportation, Head Start, and other community resources for the next three years.

One of several events we are holding in October. Takes the Cake will guide us through decorating 6 fall themed cookies that we can take home in a provided box. All supplies to decorate the cookies are provided. This looks like a fun class. RSVP by October 9th.

There is still funding available to help eligible households with their home energy needs, and the program runs through September 30th.

☀️ 2026 HHWP CAC Summer Crisis Program ☀️

Need help staying cool this summer? The Summer Crisis Program runs July 1 – September 30, 2026 and provides a one-time monetary benefit to eligible households during the cooling season.

✅ You may qualify if you:
• Are 60 years of age or older
• Have a completed medical form signed by a physician
• Have an electric account that is in disconnect, terminated, transferring, or new service status

💡 Assistance may include:
• Electric bill payment assistance
• Window air conditioner (AC)
• Fan
