One of the most special parts of Gliding Stars is the bond that forms between our Stars and their volunteers.

Week after week, they skate together. They work toward goals together. They laugh, celebrate accomplishments, and cheer each other on.

By the end of the season, many of those pairings have become true friendships.

We’re looking for volunteers to join us for the 2026–2027 season. All skating abilities are welcome, and training is provided.

Our first Gliding Stars skate is coming up soon, and we’re looking for more amazing people to join our volunteer team.

Give a few hours of your time each month and help someone with a disability experience the confidence, independence, friendship, and FUN that comes with learning to skate.

Are you a student looking to make a difference in your community while earning volunteer hours? Pierce's Crew Foundation is now accepting applications for our Junior Board!

As a Junior Board Member, you'll have the opportunity to:
✅ Earn volunteer hours
✅ Develop leadership skills
✅ Support meaningful community initiatives

💙 Sometimes you don’t realize the difference you’re making until you see it happen.

It might be the first time your Star lets go of their walker.

The first time they skate across the ice.

The first time they perform in front of a crowd.

Or simply the moment they see you walk into the rink and their face lights up because their volunteer is here.

Our volunteers are such an important part of Gliding Stars. You’re not just helping someone learn how to skate. You’re helping them build confidence, independence, friendships and pride in what they can accomplish.

And somewhere along the way, you may realize they’ve made just as big of a difference in your life, too.

We would love to have you join us for the 2026–2027 season. 💙⭐

🎓 Need community service hours? Spend them making a difference!

Gliding Stars of Findlay is a great volunteer opportunity for high school and college students looking to complete community service hours.

But we hope it becomes much more than checking off a requirement.

Our volunteers are paired with individuals with disabilities and help them learn to skate, gain confidence, and experience everything that comes with being part of a team.

You’ll gain experience working with people of different abilities, build leadership skills, make new friends, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

And yes, you can earn up to 30 community service hours during our season!

Come spend your Sundays doing something that truly matters. 💙⛸️
