It was a great night for Scouting at the ballpark last night with the Toledo Mud Hens. Our council’s top popcorn seller Riley Becker got to toss out a first pitch prior to the game. The game was the first Scout Night of the year for the Mud Hens and our Scouts along with Scouts from Erie Shores Council were recognized before the game as well as taking a parade across the field saluting them for their efforts. Pictured here are a few shots of the Becker family and a few other Scouts from Troop 914.

Riley Becker tosses out the first pitch at the Toledo Mud Hens game Friday against the Columbus Clippers. Riley received the honors after being the top popcorn seller for Black Swamp Area Council during the Fall 2025 sale. This is the first Scout Night of the year for the Mud Hens. The Black Swamp Area Council, Scouting America, hosted its 27th Annual Scouting Golf Classic on May 21, 2026, at the Findlay Country Club, welcoming community leaders, businesses, and supporters for a day of golf, fellowship, and impact.

The event kicked off the evening prior with the returning Par-Tee celebration, where participants gathered for food, drinks, and camaraderie, setting the tone for a memorable outing. Players then returned the next morning for a full day of golf, competition, and on-course activities, all in support of local Scouting programs.
