His Shining Lights was created in loving memory and honor of my mother Betty Lou Moore (Tyson)
When I was a baby, my father left, and I never had the opportunity to know him. My mother raised me on her own, working as a waitress to provide for us until she remarried when I was twelve years old. We didnāt have much, but she gave me everything she couldālove, strength, and the determination to keep going and never give up. At the time I didnāt recognize it till later in life.
Watching her work so hard taught me the value of compassion and the importance of helping others during difficult times.
Today, His Shining Lights is my way with the help of my daughter in law Brittany Moore is a way of honoring her life and the sacrifices she made. Every birthday cake we provide, every gift we give, every Bible we place in a childās hands, every bag of groceries, and every act of kindness is inspired by the love my mother showed me.
My prayer is that every child we serve knows they are seen, valued, and loved, and that every family we help is reminded they are not alone.
This ministry is more than a charityāit is a way to carry forward the light my mother brought into my life and share that light with others. From the bottom of my heart to all those who have contributed either by shopping, donations, and or wrapping presents thank you from the bottom of my heart. Remember never give up!
