Thursday (2/26) practice will have the start time delayed to 7:30 due to a JH wrestling event in the room before us. Practice will conclude at 8:30 like normal.

FYWC Pizza Party & FHS vs Wauseon Dual
FYWC Year-End Pizza Party • Thursday, January 29, 2026
5:00 PM | FHS Cafeteria
Immediate family only
Please bring the following by grade level:
•Kindergarten & 1st Grade: One bag of chips or other snack
•2nd, 3rd & 4th Grade: One 2-liter bottle of pop
•5th & 6th Grade: One dessert to share (no utensils needed)
The club will provide pizza, plates, napkins, and cups.

Participation Awards
5:25 PM | FHS Cafeteria
•Each FYWC wrestler will receive a medal to commemorate the season

FYWC Night at the HS Dual • Findlay HS vs. Wauseon HS
Pre-Match Introduction
5:45 PM | FHS Gym
•FYWC wrestlers will be introduced to the home crowd
•Please remain in front of the home table for the National Anthem

Dual Meet Begins
6:00 PM | FHS Gym
•FYWC wrestlers are admitted FREE
•Parents and other family members pay normal admission prices
•Please stay to enjoy the event, support the HS program, and cheer on the Trojans!

We plan to wrap up our pizza party in time to get the kids lined up for the pre-match introduction and for parents and family to purchase their admission to the match. It is also FHS Wrestling Senior Night, so we want to make sure we are there to support those that may have started out in FYWC and are wrestling their last season for the Trojans.

Blue group practice is canceled tonight (Jan 28) at the direction of FHS.

As of right now, we are still on for the pizza party and intro at the FHS dual tomorrow night. Please RSVP using the link provided previously if you have not done so already.

1 - Practices locations this week (weather permitting):
Tuesday, Gold and Blue Groups - Donnell Middle School
Wednesday, Blue Group - Donnell Middle School
Thursday - NO PRACTICE - PIZZA PARTY FHS

2 - Last week of the regular season:
This week is the last week of our regular season. Starting next week, we will reduce to only Blue group sessions and these are only for those who have been and will continue to wrestle in tournaments. Gold group wrestlers continuing to wrestle in tournaments are still welcome on Tues and Thurs, with the Blue group.

3 - Pizza party

Next Thursday Jan 29, the Findlay High School wrestling team will take on Wauseon in a team dual event. This will also be FYWC Night and our annual pizza party! Please open the linked google form for all the details about the pizza party and our team introduction before the FHS dual. We have a new option for Sunday, but it will require you to send your registration info to one of their tournament organizers on your own. Here are the details.

Lakota Youth Wrestling Open Tournament
- Lakota HS ( 5200 CO.RD. 13, KANSAS OH 448741)
- Wrestling starts at 10am, must be checked in by 9am
- Registration fee: $30, due at check in WE ARE GETTING A DISCOUNT, DO NOT MENTION THIS TO OTHER TEAMS
- Division 0 (4 yrs and under), Div 1 (5 & 6 yrs), Div 2 (7 & 8 yrs), Div 3 (9 & 10 yrs), Div 4 (11 & 12 yrs)
- Admission: Adults $6, Students $3
- Awards: Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in each weight class

To register, email the following to [email protected] no later than Friday Jan 16, 6pm
- Wrestler name
- Age
- Division
- Weight
- Team name (Findlay)

You will have to pay the registration fee ($30) at check-in. You may also have to complete their registration form (not sure). Remember, we were offered a discounted rate, do not mention this to other teams. They are doing us a big favor matching the Woodmore fee and allowing us to register late.

Gold and Blue practices tonight (Thursday Jan 15) are canceled. Only the HS teams are allowed to practice when school is canceled.

I’ll send last week’s weights to those that wrestled last Sunday so that you can register online for this Sunday. Others will need to enter a weight as best you can. See the e-mail sent on Sunday evening for details.
