Here’s your friendly reminder to check your toothbrush!

The American Dental Association recommends replacing your toothbrush approximately every 3–4 months — or sooner if the bristles become frayed or worn.

Why does it matter? Worn bristles may not clean your teeth as effectively, so keeping your toothbrush in good shape is a simple step toward better oral hygiene.

Here’s your Tuesday challenge:

🦷 If it’s looking a little tired, it might be time for a fresh one!

Today I had the opportunity to stand on the stage at Fresh Brewed Business and talk about something most of us rarely have to think about: hygiene insecurity.

Before we walk out the door, we reach for toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and body wash without giving it much thought. But for too many people in our community, those basic necessities aren’t guaranteed.

And when you don’t have them, it becomes about so much more than being clean. It can affect whether a child feels confident enough to walk into school, whether someone feels comfortable sitting beside their classmates, or whether a person going through a difficult season feels ready to walk into an interview and believe in themselves.

That is why Bless Up & Bloom exists.

We aren’t just handing someone shampoo or a toothbrush. We’re providing care, confidence, dignity and a clean start.

A special thank you to Josette and FASTSIGNS for allowing me to take this space on her behalf today and use it to shine a light on Bless Up & Bloom and hygiene insecurity. Josette and her team have supported this mission in so many ways, and I’m incredibly grateful for people who understand that community impact happens when we work together.

Standing behind that podium today reminded me why we keep going. I know what it feels like when life changes and you have to rebuild. I also know what can happen when someone believes in you while you’re rebuilding.

🌱 We plant the seed. Our community helps it bloom.

And we can’t do it alone.

BLOOM BASICS | More Than a Hygiene Class

Did you know that knowing what products to use is only part of the picture? Knowing how and why to use them can make a meaningful difference, too!

That’s where Bloom Basics comes in!

Created by Bless Up & Bloom, Bloom Basics is an interactive, judgment-free class that makes everyday hygiene easier to understand through practical tips, hands-on learning, and essential hygiene products participants can take with them.

What do participants learn?
• How to apply deodorant effectively
• How often to wash your hair and why shampoo sometimes needs a second wash
• Healthy skincare routines
• Everyday hygiene habits that build confidence
• Practical tips for school, work, and daily life

Bloom Basics can be tailored to meet the needs of schools, youth groups, foster and transitional youth programs, recovery centers, shelters, faith-based organizations, and other community groups.

Because this isn't just about hygiene products. It's about building healthy habits, strengthening self-worth, and helping people feel clean, confident, and cared for.

For some, everyday essentials are easy to access. For others, the cost of products or a lack of guidance can create barriers that many people never see.

That’s why Bless Up & Bloom is about more than filling hygiene bags. We combine essential products with education to help people build healthy routines, strengthen self-worth, and feel clean, confident, and cared for.

Because everyone deserves the opportunity to bloom where they are planted. 🌱

Good afternoon, everyone! 💜🌱

As Bless Up & Bloom continues to grow, we are receiving more requests for hygiene products and Bloom Bags. We are grateful that our community recognizes this need and thinks of us when someone needs help.

We are currently creating a partnership process that will allow us to serve multiple organizations responsibly and sustainably. Soon, our website will include a partnership sign-up form with expectations and details regarding pickups, drop-offs, distribution, and tracking.

In the meantime, please remember the wonderful local organizations—such as Christian Clearing House and Chopin Hall City Mission of Findlay Family Resource Center—that already have the staff and systems to serve people throughout the year.

Please continue donating, sharing our page, and supporting our mission. We will always collect hygiene products, but we appreciate your patience as we build the right systems to distribute them responsibly.

Together, we can address hygiene insecurity while supporting every organization working daily to serve our community. 💜

It’s coming and we’re thrilled but don’t forget where to get resources if in an emergency before the demand of our systems are established ; we’re growing but we need to do it the right way !!

Today we had the opportunity to be part of the Marathon Petroleum Corporation and their Nonprofit Fair and share something that is at the heart of Bless Up & Bloom: hygiene insecurity. 💜🌱

Hygiene is more than shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, or a haircut. It’s dignity. Confidence. Self-worth. It can impact how someone feels walking into school, an interview, work, or simply showing up in their community.

Every opportunity we have to talk about this need creates awareness—and awareness creates change.

We are so grateful for the chance to share the mission of Bless Up & Bloom and continue planting seeds throughout our communities.
