At Bloom we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s society. Our mission is to serve those who need self-confidence, employability, self-awareness, and overall wellness, to help everyone flourish, at any stage in their lives. B

It is so easy to fall into a pattern of indifference as we go through our lives. Here at Bloom, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. Since our founding in 2020, we have been determined to make an impact by breaking down the walls that create those constant barriers. The core of our efforts is to bring a fresh outlook on life to everyone we serve. We instill “beauty beyond the mirror” by providing beauty and wellness services to those who need it the most. We Are Thankful.

There really isn't another way to say it.

We are thankful.

Thankful for the people who said YES before they even knew exactly what they were saying yes to.

Thankful for the businesses that donated products, money, services, and time.

Thankful for the stylists and barbers who opened their chairs and used their talents to build confidence.

Thankful for the volunteers who showed up after work, on weekends, in the heat, and on long days simply because there was work to be done.

Thankful for the organizations who opened their doors and invited us in.

Thankful for the families who trusted us.

Thankful for every person who shared a post, made an introduction, dropped something in a donation bin, brought a friend, or asked, "What can I do to help?"

And most of all, we're thankful for the reminder that community still matters.

This year has shown us that Bless Up & Bloom isn't built by one person. It's built by people who believe that something as simple as a hygiene product, a haircut, a class, a ride, or a few hours of their time can help remove a barrier and remind someone:

You matter.
You are valued.
You are cared for.
You deserve to feel confident.

From Heavenly Hygiene to Bloom Basics and everything in between, we're incredibly grateful for every person who has chosen to be part of this journey.

Why does Bless Up & Bloom exist?

For thousands of children, teens, and adults, access to basic hygiene products can be a barrier—and that barrier can affect school attendance, workplace confidence, mental health, social connection, and opportunity.

That's where we come in.

Bless Up & Bloom is a nonprofit dedicated to removing those barriers by combining hygiene education with access to essential personal care products.

Our mission is simple:

Enhance beauty and wellness.
Alleviate barriers that can impact self-worth.
Help people bloom where they are planted.

We believe every person deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for—because dignity isn't a luxury.

This work reaches schools, shelters, veterans organizations, foster care agencies, recovery centers, special needs programs, and community organizations throughout Northwest Ohio.

And this is just the beginning.

A heartfelt thank you to Alyssa Annette and Combs Findlay Fencing LLC for donating hygiene items in preparation for our Heavenly Hygiene events!

Their generosity helped us stock and prepare our kits before we ever welcomed our first family. Every item donated became part of a Heavenly Hygiene Bag that was placed into the hands of local students across our communities.

🌸🩵Today, my heart is overflowing with gratitude

More recipients from our Heavenly Hygiene program have returned to redeem their haircuts, share their stories, and offer feedback about how we can continue serving them better. Again and again, they tell us how grateful they are—not only for the haircut, but for the personal experience, the private appointment, and the opportunity to feel seen and cared for.

Today, I served a mother who was blessed with a Habitat for Humanity home but hasn’t been able to sell her previous house. While carrying the weight of two mortgages, a haircut was one small expense she didn’t have to worry about.

Another single mother, who manages several illnesses and frequent doctor appointments while struggling to work, brought her daughter in. Her sweet daughter gave me the cutest pencil as a gift—and then asked if she could have one of the pretty bags she saw. Of course, I said yes. That little exchange meant more to me than she will ever know.

I also served a pregnant mother of three who is working hard to create a better life for her family while navigating housing, employment, and income requirements. I was honored to listen to her story and give her a moment that was just for her.

So, when people ask, “Who does Bless Up & Bloom serve?” my answer is simple:

We serve people.

We serve mothers, children, families, and individuals from every walk of life. We serve people experiencing temporary hardship, health challenges, job loss, housing transitions, financial pressure, or simply a season when one small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

You never know when you may find yourself in a place where “just a haircut” becomes so much more. It can restore confidence, dignity, hope, and the strength to keep moving forward.

After my last guest left today, I cried tears of joy. I am so thankful to bring this program together—and for every stylist, barber, business, sponsor, donor, and volunteer who has come alongside me. We may not always be standing together physically, but it feels like we are locking arms and saying:

“We’ve got this. Let’s help our community. Together, we can do better.”

In previous years, there wasn’t enough room to serve everyone. This year, because of all of you, we were able to create more room at the table.

There will always be things we learn, improve, and change for the years ahead. But today, I am simply proud—proud of the stories being shared, the compassion being built, and the community coming together.

There is room for everyone here. And I would love for you to lock arms with us and become part of what we are building. 🌸

We want to send a HUGE thank you to Hall Trucking Express Inc for their incredibly generous donation of hygiene products to support our 2026 Heavenly Hygiene events!

Our relationship with HTI Hall Trucking Express goes back beyond Heavenly Hygiene. For the past two years, Bless Up & Bloom has been honored to be part of their Families & Freightliners Fest, helping celebrate a day centered around families, community, and giving people a hands-on look at the trucking industry.

So when HTI Hall Trucking Express stepped up with a massive donation of hygiene products, it felt like another perfect example of what happens when local organizations continue to show up for one another.

As a family-owned and operated company with 39 years in the trucking industry, HTI Hall Trucking Express has built deep roots right here in Findlay, Flag City USA. And their commitment to community goes far beyond their business.

Their donation helped us fill Heavenly Hygiene Kits for students across Hancock, Wood, Wyandot, and Seneca Counties—turning an incredible amount of donated products into something that will have a very personal impact on local children and families.

Sometimes having the right products is only part of the equation.

That’s why Brooke created Bloom Basics—a fun, practical, and judgment-free class designed to make everyday hygiene a little less confusing and a lot more empowering.

Participants don't just receive essential hygiene products. They learn the why and how behind everyday routines, including:

🧴 How to use deodorant effectively
🫧 How often to wash your hair—and why
🚿 When your shampoo may need a second wash
✨ Healthy skincare routines
💜 Daily habits that can build confidence
🌱 Practical hygiene tips for school, work, and everyday life

This isn't a lecture. It's hands-on, honest, approachable, and designed to meet people where they are. Participants leave with practical tools in their hands and confidence in their hearts.

And the best part? Bloom Basics can be brought to your organization!

We're looking to partner with:
• Schools & youth groups
• Foster & transitional youth programs
• Recovery centers
• Domestic violence shelters
• Group homes
• Re-entry programs
• Faith-based organizations
