AERO 55

AERO 55 Aero55 brings together aviators in the KY 55 corridor (and beyond!) for fun, fellowship, and flying. Membership is is open to all with interest and enthusiasm.

Aero 55 is an informal organization for aviators and friends located along the KY Route 55 corridor and extending 100 NM on either side. Its purpose is to organize, promote, and coordinate social gatherings, flying activities, information sharing, safety, and support. Its focus is to help connect aviators and to celebrate and promote rural aviation in central Kentcuky and southern Indiana.

Ok turnout for Nulltown’s (73ii) last fly-in before closing. As always, breakfast was “made to order”. Lunch was BBQ pork/ chicken and pot luck.

I rode the motorcycle (Magnus) because of the forecasted winds. I’m sure the winds kept people from flying in.

Mark your calendars! The Silo Field Memorial Day Weekend Fly-In is Saturday, May 23 from 11am-3pm. Pilots are welcome to fly in and enjoy an excellent BBQ lunch surrounded by airplanes, antique cars and bikes. PLEASE RSVP to [email protected] so an adequate amount of food can be prepared. Silo Field is approx. 3500' of smooth grass located at 37.94N 84.43W (on the southeast side of Lexington). CTAF frequency is 123.45. The runway is oriented east-west.
