Our Annual Fall maintenance event will be taking place this Friday-Sunday. We are thrilled to be able to work alongside the wonderful Ozark Highlands Trail Association volunteers and section adopters. Updates on trail conditions will be released upon completion of the work weekend.

Getting excited for the Fall Trail Maintenance season! Over the next couple months we'll be working on the Spirit of Syllamo course, which shares a lot of the same trails as 3 Days. The event is December 13th in Norfork, Arkansas and offers a Mountain Classic 9 Miler on Matney K**b (River>Summit>River), a challenging 35 Miler and of course the Beastly 100 Miler!

We'll be posting updates on trail conditions and promise we'll have the three courses for 3 Days in fantastic shape come March.

*FYI- The US Forest Service - Ozark-St Francis National Forests Trail Crew has already cleared the White River Bluff Loop! This classic loop is 4.2 miles and has some of the best views of the White River Valley. Be sure to reach out if you're coming to the area for some training runs. We'll have all the beta :)

Update: It was an incredible 3 days of trail stewardship. Witnessing the HARD work being done by volunteers was inspirational and I'm pleased to say that we achieved our goal of clearing the damage from Blanchard Springs to Gunner Pool and a little over one mile going towards Allison. We were also able to clear the spur from Blanchard towards Jack's Branch Trail (East). Lots more work to be done but this was a huge accomplishment and we are all feeling much better about the project.

I can't wait to celebrate these trails and our beautiful "Syllamopeople" community next March.

We're beginning a big 3-Day trail restoration project this morning. Grateful to be teaming up with the skilled sawyers of the Ozark Highlands Trail Association and our favorite US Forest Service - Ozark-St Francis National Forests Trail Steward, Chaia Gibson. We have roughly 20 volunteers and a mission of opening up the Blanchard Springs to Gunner Pool section with this initial effort. Reports and pics to come.

To all our Syllamo Family and everyone effected by the recent outbreak of Tornados, I'm so very sorry that you had to experience that. Personally, I'm still trying to process the emotions and focus on the positive rather than thinking through the what-if scenarios in my head. I feel fortunate to have survived and am so incredibly grateful that no one else was injured. The overwhelming support that was experienced in the aftermath should be the primary focus, thank you all so very much for the love and support.

To my good friend, Jerry Frost, I'm so grateful for you coming to the rescue. We made it my friend. To my wife, that first embrace when you were finally able to make it back meant the world to me and I'm so grateful you were safe. And to all of you that pushed through the emotions and did what was necessary to make sure everyone was safe, I love you all.

This is Jake, I am okay and just made it home. The cabin I was staying in was directly hit by the tornado but the bathtub saved me. I was so scared for everyone down at Blanchard and everyone else in the area. At this point there is still a lot of uncertainty about the damage but so far only one injury being reported. We are so incredibly fortunate that more people were not injured. Blanchard will be closed so please don’t try to go there. Due to these circumstances we are unable to continue with the event. I will report back when I have more details.

The tradition continues...hand-painted awards by Melony Anderson & Hannah Hale. All "Stage" finishers will get one of these after finishing the 20K on Sunday. We'll have Overall awards for Male & Female and Masters Male & Female.

The trails are in amazing shape and I can't wait for you all to enjoy them. We take great pride in giving back to the trail systems that make up the courses for 3 Days of Syllamo and owe many thanks to the other area trail stewards that give up countless hours helping in the cause.
