THANK YOU, FIFE LAKE!

Tonight’s Big Bang Benefit at The Upper Bar & Grill was a humbling reminder of why we love this town. The Chamber Board took over the floor to raise money for our fireworks display, and the turnout was nothing short of spectacular.

We’ll be the first to admit: we aren’t the fastest servers in the world, and there were definitely moments where we didn’t know our left from our right! 🤣 But despite the chaos, Fife Lake showed up in a big way. Whether you were patient with our service, bought balls for the raffle, or showed your support through tips, your generosity made the hustle worth it. We are so grateful for every single one of you.

A massive thank you to April & the team at The Upper Bar for letting us take over the floor and for giving us the platform to make this happen!
The fireworks are going to shine a little brighter this year thanks to all of you! ❤️🤍💙

Today, the Chamber spent a wonderful afternoon with some very talented young artists at Fife Lake Elementary working on a special 4th of July project!

Students from Kindergarten through 3rd Grade put their creativity to the test, competing to have their artwork chosen to be featured on our official Fourth of July T-shirts this year. One winner will be chosen from each grade level, which means you will have four unique designs to choose from when you purchase your shirts this July. We were absolutely blown away by their talent today, and it is going to be such a hard choice to make.

Stay tuned, because we will be announcing the winners very soon!
❤️🤍💙

What a fantastic turnout at the networking event the Fife Lake Library hosted this evening!

Thank you to all those who attended and to our lovely Library Director, Cheyenne Wilcox, and her staff!

We learned so much about our community hub, how it is so vital in Fife, and all the amazing activities that happen here. It is true, we are outgrowing our current building, but don't worry! Fundraising is underway for an expansion. We have room to grow and there are many ways to contribute. Just stop in and ask about how you can help!

We also mingled while doing a scavenger hunt, enjoyed snacks, and caught up with those who we haven't seen in a while. Below are some of the organizations who updated us on their current activities.

Fife Lake Historical Society
Forest Area Credit Untion
Walton Junction Sportsman's Club
Fife Lake Chamber of Commerce
Huntington Bank (Kalkaska & Kingsley)
Springfield Township Park
Fife Lake Friends of the Library
North Country Trail

(Apologies if I left anyone out. Feel free to add yourself in comments!)

Please join us at our next event hosted by the Hulwick Center in July! Date to be announced.

How does this work??

Many people have asked, so here are the details. ⬇️

You visit the Upper Bar & Grill or reach out to a board member and buy your ticket(s). 231-620-3663

1 ball for $20 or 6 balls for $100.

Each ticket has a number that matches a numbered ball—see photo below.

On May 24 we will gather all 1,000 balls and load them into a box that will be carried by a drone.

The drone will then fly over the football field at Forest Area High School and release them.

Whatever ball lands on or closest to the designated bullseye on the field wins the grand prize of $5,000.
You do not need to be present to win.

This is a big fundraiser and all proceeds will go towards the $27,000 firework bill. Yes, you read that correctly $27,000 is the cost to light up Fife Lake on the 4th of July.

In addition to that large bill is the cost of every other activity and event planned for the holiday weekend. Music on the beach, kids day, the parade, the car show and many others.

The Chamber of Commerce is not a government entity and receives ZERO tax dollars. We are a private, 501c(6) non-profit organization.
The festivals you love, the banners downtown, and the community traditions we cherish are funded exclusively through membership dues, donations, and aggressive fundraising. We exist to keep this village vibrant, but we can only do what we can afford.

The Chamber and our community thank you for your incredible support as we work together to keep the spirit of Fife Lake alive!
