Another wonderful day with visiting bonsai artist, and now friend, Sergio Cuan .

club members had the opportunity to talk and work design, grafting options, directional pruning and other techniques in a half day workshop with Sergio.
Then, after a club meeting, Sergio led us through an informative and transformational demo with a Mark Comstock maple.

Thank you again to Sergio for joining us for the weekend and sharing your creativity, experience, fun personality and time. We can’t wait to have you back!

Great friends and their great trees met this past weekend at for a discussion and work with wiring. We are so grateful to have both knowledge and generosity in our membership and time to be able to share it.

At today’s meeting club members gathered to share stories about trees lost and lessons learned.

They shared these stories in an effort to heal, learn and grow from mistakes made and knowledge gained so that from the collective experience all members could walk away wiser.

If you’re not part of a club or bonsai community, consider joining one. If you haven’t encouraged someone else in their bonsai practice, take this opportunity to do so. If you haven’t shared a story about a tree lost and learned a lesson, give it a try.
Life is too short for boring bonsai and too long to do alone.
