The countdown is on for the 4th Annual Willie P Memorial Golf Tournament! We are excited to share that we already have 17 teams registered and ready to hit the course on Wednesday, June 10th, at Sanford Municipal Golf Course! If you haven't registered yet, don't wait! We’d love to see a few more teams join us for this special event.

A huge THANK YOU to all of this year's sponsors who have already submitted their sponsorships and are helping make this event possible. Your support continues to make a lasting impact through the Willie P Memorial Scholarship, benefiting deserving students at LCHS.

There’s still time to join us for a day filled with great golf, fellowship, and friendly competition! Golfers can look forward to:

This year’s 2026 recipients for the Willie P Scholarship award goes to Alex Burrell and Aiden Poole. Congratulations to you both and all the best as you go forward to college.

Today was a day full of emotion, gratitude, and remembrance for our family.

We are incredibly honored and deeply thankful that Ferrum College recognized William today by awarding him his Bachelor of Science degree at graduation. While nothing can replace his presence, this beautiful gesture means more to us than words can fully express. It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion he carried with him every single day. Seeing his name honored in this way reminds us that his legacy continues to live on.

We also want to take a moment to recognize Kennedy, William’s roommate and dear friend, on his graduation. Kennedy, thank you for standing by William, for honoring his memory, and for carrying a piece of him with you. Your strength, loyalty, and love have meant so much to our family, and we are so proud of you and all you’ve accomplished.

Today we celebrate achievement, remembrance, and the lasting impact of a life gone too soon but never forgotten. 💛🎓🖤

It’s time for LCHS Class of 2026 senior baseball and football athletes to apply for the Willie P. Memorial Scholarship!

Created in honor of William, this scholarship celebrates his passion for athletics and academics, and continues his legacy of leadership, determination, and pride in the Yellow Jackets.

We invite our community to come together in remembering William by supporting the next generation of student-athletes. Please share this post with friends, family, and fellow supporters to help us reach deserving seniors.

Each application will be carefully reviewed by a dedicated committee using the criteria outlined, ensuring that recipients truly reflect the character, work ethic, and spirit that Willie P. embodied.

Let’s continue to honor William’s legacy, one student at a time.
