FERRISBURGH DAY ON HOLD FOR 2025

With so many wonderful gatherings and events happening over the next few months, including a celebration for our amazing Town Clerk Pam Cousino who is retiring after nearly 30 years, we have decided to put Ferrisburgh Day on hold for 2025.

We will be reimagining what Ferrisburgh Day will look like, taking a more town-centered approach that harkens back the celebration’s roots. We look forward to welcoming friends, family, neighbors and our community to Ferrisburgh Day 2026.

What an amazing day it was at ! Thank you to everyone that came out and visited a celebration site!

The photos are slowly rolling in. So, we wanted to share a few photos we have from the !

One day until Ferrisburgh Day! The Union Meeting Hall is excited to welcome you this Sunday! ❤️

We are excited to welcome you to the Union Meeting Hall this Sunday for Ferrisburgh Day !

Though construction is ongoing, we’ve been able to carve out a little area for the Fredrick Douglass Art Show/Contest inside the building. We’ll have mini-golf, vendors, demos, food, fun and more throughout the day on the Town Green.

The weather is looking amazing, and it warms our hearts to see this historic property come to life with each and every event we hold here.

The weather this Sunday for Ferrisburgh Day is looking 🔥🔥🔥

We have so much great stuff planned across five sites, including Rokeby Museum, Ferrisburgh Volunteer Fire Department, Union Meeting Hall , Ferrisburgh Central School and Ferrisburgh Historical Society!

We’ve got mini golf, free creemee vouchers for kids from Vermont Cookie Love, half price admission and tours, bouncy house, food, open houses, vendors, a Ferrisburgh Town Forest hike, demos, presentations and more!!!

Take a guided hike through the Ferrisburgh Town Forest on !

The Ferrisburgh Conservation Commission will lead a hike into the Forest on Sunday, September 15 from 9am to 1pm. You’ll see a wide variety of healthy ecosystems in this parcel, including a clay-plain forest, mature mixed hardwood forest, mountain stream, and cliffs where bobcats den.

This is a moderate to difficult hike of about 3-4 miles round-trip that includes some steep and uneven terrain, wet ground, and some off-trail portions — so sturdy footwear, long pants and your enthusiasm for an adventure are strongly encouraged. No dogs.

Meet at the right-angle corner on Robinson Rd. a half-mile east of Rte. 7. If you have questions, contact Craig Heindel at 802-343-1034

From 11am to 1pm during celebrations join the Ferrisburgh Central School and take part in a community based project aligned with the 24-25 school wide learning theme of “Words in the Wild”. This year students will be honing their skills of “engaging with ideas and communicating effectively” through reading, writing, creating art and doing field work in nature and in our broader community.

This is also a great opportunity to hear more about what they are doing this year at FCS. Visitors are also welcome to play on the playground and take a look at the beautiful gardens.

The Ferrisburgh Historical Society will be hosting an Open House from 11am to 3pm during Ferrisburgh Day celebrations on September 15th. In addition, they will have refreshments available as well as info table by Rogers and Hazard Relief Society/Neighbor Helping Neighbor so you can learn about their important work in our community!
