🎉Fernwood Veterans Outreach Center — Soft Opening Week🎉

Before we cut the ribbon on July 3rd, we’re opening our doors for a soft opening so the community can stop in, say hello, and see the space we’ve been building together.

We’ll be open:
📅 Monday, June 29th — 9:00am to 1:00pm
📅 Wednesday, July 1st — 9:00am to 1:00pm

These soft‑opening days are a chance to meet the team, learn about upcoming services, ask questions, and get a feel for what the Center will offer our veterans and their families.

We can’t wait to see you — whether you stop by during the soft opening or join us for the big celebration!

We’re getting closer to opening the doors, and we have one more delicious detail to share —
we’ll be serving hamburgers at the Grand Opening!To make the day feel even more like a true Fernwood gathering, we’re looking for a few wonderful volunteers who would like to bring sides or desserts.
Homemade, store‑bought, simple, fancy — it all adds to the table and the celebration.If you’d like to help, just let us know what you’re bringing.

We invite you to join us on June 25th at 10:00am at the Elks Lodge for a powerful, evidence‑based 2‑hour su***de prevention training designed to equip our community with the tools to recognize warning signs, offer support, and truly be the one who makes a difference.

This training is free and open to the public.
Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, a caregiver, or simply someone who wants to help, your presence matters.

Deep gratitude to Mary Spray and her team at the Senior Center for hosting such a beautiful dinner and auction tonight. The food, the atmosphere, the teamwork — everything was perfect. Because of your dedication, we’re able to continue making real progress on the new building. A huge thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the silent auction. Your presence, your generosity, and your spirit made the night unforgettable. What a night!
