VFW Byrd-Wallace Post 4351 VFW Byrd-Wallace Post 4351 was mustered in September 11, 1945. We exist to help veterans, their families, and our communities.

As a VFW, we have a Post members organization and Auxiliary members organization and one can not exist without the other here.

On Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

From the earliest days of our country to today, generations of Americans have answered the call, and many never returned home. Memorial Day is a solemn day of remembrance — a day to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the freedoms we hold dear.

As members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, it is our honor and duty to help ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten.

Please join us as we stand with our friends and fellow veterans from American Legion Post 54 Florida for the Memorial Day ceremony at 11:00 AM at Centre Street's waterfront. Following the ceremony, we invite you to be our guest and join us for lunch at 1:00 PM at VFW Byrd-Wallace Post 4351. Those who are able are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share.

We also ask everyone in our community to observe the National Moment of Remembrance at 3:00 PM local time by pausing for one minute of silence to remember and honor those who died in service to our country.

May we come together as a community to remember, reflect, and pay tribute.

Jason Walters, Fernandina Beach Police Officer of the Year;
Lt. Rusty Burke, Fernandina Beach Firefighter of the Year;
Vincent McMonigel, Nassau County Firefighter/Engineer of the Year; and Anthony Green, NCSO Deputy of the Year.

Very excited to host Ian Keane, Program Manager with Fire Watch for a 45 minute session on veteran su***de prevention Thursday night June 25th at 6:30pm.

The Fire Watch is Florida’s fight to end Veteran su***de. They are building a life-saving network of community members and organizations trained to identify the warning signs of Veterans in crisis and to direct those Veterans to the help they need.

This training could lead to our post being designated as a Veterans Safe Place. (more so than we are already) A sign-up sheet will be on the volunteer bulletin board for those interested.

Tuesday - Hope House Dinner - please be at the Post by 2:45PM to assist.
Wednesday - Bar Bingo and maybe a side of "Let's Make a Deal" at 7PM
Thursday - Chicken Salad Croissants with Tot or Cole Slaw for lunch around noon - only $9!
Friday - R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed) - wear a red shirt and received 50 cents off drinks
Friday - Valentine's Dinner/Party at 5:30PM - a $15 donation gets you Lasagna, Garlic Bread, Salad, and Dessert. Plus music and karaoke by Sandra Brewer Kelly! Get your tickets before they're gone!
Saturday - Jack of Hearts at 7PM
Sunday - Meat Madness at 4:30PM
