The Elephant Project Through innovative ideas, we will help end the ivory trade and human elephant conflicts globally. New ideas. New Solutions. A New Future.

Our humanity is not defined by our words but by our actions – failing to act to protect those who are subjected to the evils that humans can inflict is, in itself, an act of cruelty for it silently condones the horrific acts that we, as humans, should abhor. The Elephant Project develops and implements new ideas and solutions to address the short and long term needs of elephants to help bring an end to this cruelty. We will create a safe haven for elephants to live without fear of human interference by building communities in harmony with their natural habitat that will protect these iconic creatures from poachers and those that wish to inflict cruelty upon them. We will establish non-invasive research facilities to develop technologies that provide solutions to end poaching and human-elephant conflicts and address the impact climate change has on their ability for long-term survival. We will demonstrate that conservation efforts built on a humane economy can benefit not only the elephants but the country and its citizens.

We're launching something big. For years, our work has been built around one belief: we cannot save elephants without also helping the people who live alongside them.

Today, we're kicking off a campaign to fund six initiatives — a children's book, two documentaries, a coexistence fund, a free digital classroom, and a television series — all built around that idea. Follow along this month as we introduce each one.
