Happy Fastest Family Family!
Thank you to everyone who shared your time and Mercedes-Benz, exotic, or classic car with us this past weekend at our Seaside Social at the Ocean Club event! We had several amazing cars, here are a few!
Rarely will you ever see two of the most unique SLS Roadsters in the same parking lot. MBCA Member Mike Mihalik shared his SLS GT Final Edition (the one with CF hood), one of 10 told to the U.S.
Jacksonville Sports Car Museum (JSCM) shared their 1-of-1 SLS, heavily modified by RENNtech (The one with the tan interior), including Magnuson supercharger, Stainless Steel Headers with w/200 cell catalytic converters, a Titanium Akrapovic Evolution Catback System and a RENNtech upgraded 7-speed transmission. Dyno tested for 598 whp and 492 lb-ft of torque (est. 680 HP and 560 LB FT 14% drivetrain loss. It is more powerful than an AMG GTR or an SLS Black Series!)
JSCM also shared a a Ferrari 488 Pista Spyder. If you don't know about this car, "Google it"! The Ferrari 488 Pista's signature "S-Scoop" (or S-Duct) is a prominent front air intake inspired by Formula 1. Incoming air plunges into the front duct, bends up, and flows over the car. This drastically increases front downforce without causing aerodynamic drag.
After our Stars & Cars at the Coast gathering we celebrated MBCA's 70th Anniversary at South Ponte Vedra Ocean Club, and their oceanfront restaurant, Lynda's at the Ocean Club.
