Top 10 Reasons Not To Miss the Great Southern Tailgate Cook-off This Weekend:
1) The smell of smoked meat carried by an ocean breeze
2) Cool off with craft beer tasting event in the VIP Tent tonight (for just a $10 entry fee)
3) Chance to win a watermelon-eating contest tomorrow at 10:30
4) Kids 12 and under get in free ($5 admission for grown-ups)
5) Proceeds benefit Gator Bowl charities focusing on youth and education (including Take-a-Child to the Game and Pop Warner Youth Football)
6) We heard the Blues Brothers are coming
7) Tasting event tomorrow from 11-1 where you can try the best that the Backyard teams have cooked up (as long as it all lasts)
8) Outdoor dance floor down to the sounds of great bands including the Swingin' Medallions, Dirt Floor Krackers, RockIt Fly, Beech Street Blues Band and Bama Gamblers

Did you know? Proceeds from the Great Southern Tailgate Cook-Off benefit the Gator Bowl Association, a not-for-profit organization focused on education and youth in North Florida. They fund scholarships for Pop Warner, Take Stock in Children, and Gator Bowl Award of Excellence recipients.
