Troop 89 has been busy with meetings and campouts! We will be selling Christmas Trees at The Loop Pizza Grill in Fernandina starting Friday November 27th! We only have enough trees for one weekend! Please share this with friends. Scouts use this as a fundraiser to pay for campouts, summer camps, high adventure trips. We appreciate your support!

Scouts unloaded Christmas trees delivered from North Carolina and are preparing them for sale. If you buy a Christmas Tree, please consider buying from Troop 89. We will be selling them outside the Loop Pizza Grill at Sadler and 14th in Fernandina on Friday (Black Friday) until gone. We normally sell out by Sunday. Please share this to help get the word out.

Troop 89 spent the weekend camping aboard the USS York Town CV-10 at Patriots Point. We meet most Monday nights 6:30pm at the Scout Hut in Central Park.

We give thanks for all Ken Sturges did for Scouting. Our condolences to his wife Nancy and his children. Scouts are writing thank you letters for donations. Ken always stopped by our Christmas Tree sales every year to check in. Ken loved to chat and told a lot of great stories about campouts. Seems he had even fired a cannon at Ft Clinch! A dedicated scouter and teacher to many, he will be greatly missed.

Troop 89 makes the Times-Union newspaper. Where else can you rappel down a 16 story building but Scouting? Over the Edge is a annual program of North Florida Council. We meet most Monday nights at 6:30pm at the Scout Hut in Central Park.
