Meet two of our newest makers. Raghib made an outdoor sign and Claudia made a frame to display her collection of ceramic tiles. Both turned out great and we are happy to have them join our community of makers.

Over the past few years we have hosted the young men who serve as escorts for the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Little Miss Fashionetta pageant. This year they each made a personalized engraved item. We enjoyed having them in the shop this morning.

We’re excited to share that we received a Spark Good grant from our local Walmart. This grant will help fund our maker mentoring program. We are thankful for their support to spark good in our community!

Meet the Carson family, our newest makers. Over the past few months they have been recreating a couple of items that are deeply personal and meaningful to them. We really loved learning the story behind both of these items and getting to know them. They are on their way to Wisconsin where these will be enjoyed for generations to come.

At Soulcraft, nothing begins as finished.

Not the wood.
Not the projects.
Not the people.

Most of the folks who walk through our doors have never made anything with their hands before. They arrive unsure, hesitant, curious. And slowly — something changes.

A stranger becomes a maker.
And together, our shop creates community.

That transformation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people choose to support a place where learning is patient, creativity is encouraged, and work is done together.
