Despite the unexpected snow the webelos were feeling adventurous and completed a 2 mile section of the North country trail through Ferber park. Reluctant but supportive parents joined in the festivities too!

And they had the fortunate encounter of a woodcock doing his ritual dance…Or he might have been just trying to stay warm!

Thank you to all the scouts from the pack and Boy Scout Troop 305 who came out today to help with the annual Scouting for Food food drive. Thanks to our generous community we were able to collect 334 pounds of food and $650 in cash donations. We donated all proceeds to the Fergus Falls Community Food Shelf. Our AOL scouts have built a picnic table for a community service project! This is for their final Cub Scout Adventure, My Community. At the next meeting they will apply the finish and donate the table to its recipient, the Fergus Falls Fire Department. We have had our regular den meetings there twice a month for the last 4 years and we couldn’t be more grateful to Dan Lipson to have had the space to run and learn.

We had some scouts attend Polar Cub Camp at Camp Wilderness Scout Camp this weekend. They had a blast! Skiing and sledding, cardboard box races and Dutch oven apple cake. We are lucky to have such a great camp within our council!

Thursday night the Webelos and AOL Scouts had the opportunity to hear Mayor Anthomy Hicks share about his experiences in being Mayor, what it takes to make a city run and he also shared about his sons adventures in scouting in Great Britain when they were younger. They also enjoyed snacks from their ”snack election” last month, venison and apples!

We had a BLAST at Twilight Camp last night! The scouts launched the rockets they built! We also used our compasses to find hidden treasure, enjoyed a cosmic obstacle course, made a fun bead craft, had a great dinner and finished the night with smores!
