This Saturday, April 25th is FREE PARK DAY at MN state parks. Grab your radio gear and go to a state park to play radio. Both the parks noted in the shared post provide great locations to set up your equipment to have some Parks on the Air (POTA) fun.

If you decide to activate one of the MN state parks in Otter Tail County, here are the reference numbers:

It is FREE PARK DAY here in Minnesota on Saturday, April 25th. No vehicle permits are required to enter any MN state park. We are fortunate to have 2 state parks here in Otter Tail County. Glendalough State Park near Battle Lake & Maplewood State near Pelican Rapids. Glendalough Park Partners will be hosting the 2026 Walk for Glandalough on Sat. 9am-1pm. There will be coffee in the morning and lunch in the park from noon-1pm with a short program. This is a fundraiser for the park.

The February School Club Roundup results are in, and our team was THIRD in the US, and first in Minnesota!

This event occurs twice a year, and student teams spend a week making as many contacts as possible.

Brandon, K0TML, brought his CW (Morse code) trainer to today’s monthly club meeting at the Fergus Falls Public Library.

Yes, Morse code is alive and well! It’s much more likely to “get through” when conditions aren’t great for voice communication.
