Sometimes hope comes one step at a time.
For nearly twenty years, Thilakam has lived with the lasting effects of leprosy. Every week she travels to our Thalaivasal Center for ulcer treatment, and every month she receives rice that helps provide for her family.
Recently, she received a new pair of MCR protective shoes—special shoes designed to protect feet damaged by leprosy.
To many of us, shoes are ordinary.
To Thilakam, they represent safety.
Freedom.
Hope.
Most of all, they remind her that she is not forgotten.
Because of faithful supporters like you, families facing leprosy continue receiving compassionate medical care, practical support, and the love of Christ throughout Tamil Nadu.
Every act of kindness helps someone take another step forward.

Sometimes changing a life doesn't happen all at once.
Sometimes it happens month after month.
Year after year.
When Embrace a Village first met Antony Samy, we saw a man who had endured decades of hardship because of leprosy. What we also saw was incredible strength and unwavering dignity.
Today, thanks to faithful supporters, Antony receives monthly food assistance, annual MCR protective shoes, medical care, and something every person deserves...
To know they have not been forgotten.
Real ministry isn't always found in dramatic moments.
Sometimes it's found in simply showing up.
Again.
And again.
And again.

📚 Back to School. Back to Hope.
As children across America head back to school with backpacks full of supplies and dreams for the future, children like Nitish are beginning another school year with dreams of their own.
Growing up in a family affected by leprosy and poverty, Nitish often struggled in school. Some days he arrived hungry. Other days he wondered if he was smart enough to keep going.
Then he found Embrace a Village's Little Lights After-School Program.
Today, he receives tutoring, a nutritious meal, caring mentors, and something every child deserves—someone who believes in him.
We've already seen what God can do through faithful encouragement.
✨ Sathya became a nurse.
✨ Jameson, another Little Lights student, begins nursing school this September as the first person in his family to attend college.
Today, Nitish is taking those same first steps.
Your prayers and generosity are helping children discover that their circumstances do not define their future.

His story was never supposed to end in a leprosy colony.
Jameson grew up surrounded by hardship, but he was also surrounded by something even stronger—faith, family, and people who refused to let his circumstances define his future.
His grandfather faithfully served others despite living with leprosy. His mother never stopped believing in him. Through Embrace a Village's Little Lights and After-School Program, Jameson discovered confidence, purpose, and hope.
This September, he will become the first person in his family to attend college, beginning his journey toward becoming a nurse with the support of Embrace a Village.
His story reminds us that when we invest in one child, we invest in generations to come.

Because leprosy damaged the feeling in her feet, even the smallest injury could become a dangerous wound without her knowing it. Specialized MCR footwear helps protect her feet, prevent painful ulcers, and preserve her independence.
What may look like an ordinary pair of sandals is actually a life-changing gift.

When Nandakumar lost his leg, he also lost the support of the people he loved. Abandoned and left to survive along the roadside, he believed he had been forgotten.
Then an Embrace a Village outreach team stopped.
Today, Nandakumar has a safe place to call home, nourishing meals, medical care, and a community that treats him like family. His smile is a reminder that sometimes the greatest healing isn't physical—it's knowing someone cares.

What began as a calling became a lifelong mission.
Together, Akhilesh and his wife Saritha have faithfully cared for leprosy-affected families across Tamil Nadu—bringing compassion, dignity, encouragement, and hope to people often forgotten by society.
Their daughters, Stephanie and Crystal, have grown up watching that example of service and are now carrying those same values into the future.

💛 Most people will never hear stories like Subramani's.

At 58 years old, leprosy has made everyday life incredibly difficult. Painful ulcers, limited mobility, and financial hardship became part of his daily reality.

But today, he is no longer facing those challenges alone.
Through Embrace a Village, Subramani receives monthly rice support, regular ulcer care, self-care supplies, and the encouragement that comes from knowing someone genuinely cares.

Children like Navaneetha Krishnan are gathering at the Embrace a Village After-School Program—learning, growing, and discovering confidence they didn’t know they had.
Many come from homes affected by leprosy, where resources are limited and support is hard to find.
But here, they are encouraged.
They are guided.
They are reminded that their future can be different. 💛
