Our team travels 2,400 miles weekly to bring medical care, nutritional aid, education, and the Gospel to leprosy colonies. We seek spiritual, physical, and social transformation in those we serve in the colonies and in our hospice and rehab center.

Subbaya came to us because he had a wound that needed treatment.
But he carried wounds we couldn't see.
Diagnosed with leprosy decades ago, Subbaya was rejected by his own family and told to leave his village. He eventually settled in a leprosy colony, living alone and struggling for even basic food, medicine, and bandages.
Then one day, he came to Embrace a Village for ulcer care.
We treated his wound.
He came back.
So we treated it again.
And again.
For nearly six months, our team welcomed Subbaya with compassionate care and a smile.
Slowly, he began to open up.
Today, he talks with our staff. He shares his stories. He laughs. ❤️
Sometimes healing isn't only about treating the wound we can see.
Through your prayers and generosity, people like Subbaya receive medical care, dignity, friendship, and the reassurance that they are worthy of being welcomed and loved.

Sometimes the greatest gift isn't something you can put into someone's hands. Sometimes it's simply being there.
After losing his wife, Krishnan now lives alone while facing the lasting physical effects of leprosy.
Each month, Embrace a Village provides him with rice and essential medical supplies. But our care doesn't stop there.
Our team visits his home. They sit with him, listen to his stories, and help with everyday tasks his damaged hands make difficult.
And sometimes, they simply spend time together.
Because loneliness can hurt, too.

When the school bell rings, Jayasree's second opportunity begins. 📚
At 12 years old, Jayasree comes from a family touched by leprosy—and she has grown up seeing how poverty and stigma can limit opportunity.
But every afternoon, notebook in hand, she heads to Embrace a Village's After-School Center.
There, she receives free tutoring, encouragement from caring teachers, and a nutritious meal before returning home.
And something beautiful is happening.
She's beginning to believe her future can be different.
Through your prayers and generosity, children like Jayasree are receiving more than help with homework. They're gaining confidence, opportunity, and the freedom to dream beyond the circumstances into which they were born.
We don't know yet where Jayasree's dreams will take her.
But we're grateful to be walking beside her as she discovers what's possible. ❤️

For Arumugam, a 71-year-old man living with the effects of leprosy, a monthly bag of rice means far more than food.

Sometimes hope comes one step at a time.
For nearly twenty years, Thilakam has lived with the lasting effects of leprosy. Every week she travels to our Thalaivasal Center for ulcer treatment, and every month she receives rice that helps provide for her family.
Recently, she received a new pair of MCR protective shoes—special shoes designed to protect feet damaged by leprosy.
To many of us, shoes are ordinary.
To Thilakam, they represent safety.
Freedom.
Hope.
Most of all, they remind her that she is not forgotten.
Because of faithful supporters like you, families facing leprosy continue receiving compassionate medical care, practical support, and the love of Christ throughout Tamil Nadu.
Every act of kindness helps someone take another step forward.

Sometimes changing a life doesn't happen all at once.
Sometimes it happens month after month.
Year after year.
When Embrace a Village first met Antony Samy, we saw a man who had endured decades of hardship because of leprosy. What we also saw was incredible strength and unwavering dignity.
Today, thanks to faithful supporters, Antony receives monthly food assistance, annual MCR protective shoes, medical care, and something every person deserves...
To know they have not been forgotten.
Real ministry isn't always found in dramatic moments.
Sometimes it's found in simply showing up.
Again.
And again.
And again.

📚 Back to School. Back to Hope.
As children across America head back to school with backpacks full of supplies and dreams for the future, children like Nitish are beginning another school year with dreams of their own.
Growing up in a family affected by leprosy and poverty, Nitish often struggled in school. Some days he arrived hungry. Other days he wondered if he was smart enough to keep going.
Then he found Embrace a Village's Little Lights After-School Program.
Today, he receives tutoring, a nutritious meal, caring mentors, and something every child deserves—someone who believes in him.
We've already seen what God can do through faithful encouragement.
✨ Sathya became a nurse.
✨ Jameson, another Little Lights student, begins nursing school this September as the first person in his family to attend college.
Today, Nitish is taking those same first steps.
Your prayers and generosity are helping children discover that their circumstances do not define their future.

His story was never supposed to end in a leprosy colony.
Jameson grew up surrounded by hardship, but he was also surrounded by something even stronger—faith, family, and people who refused to let his circumstances define his future.
His grandfather faithfully served others despite living with leprosy. His mother never stopped believing in him. Through Embrace a Village's Little Lights and After-School Program, Jameson discovered confidence, purpose, and hope.
This September, he will become the first person in his family to attend college, beginning his journey toward becoming a nurse with the support of Embrace a Village.
His story reminds us that when we invest in one child, we invest in generations to come.

❤️ No one should have to face life's hardest moments alone.
When Nandakumar lost his leg, he also lost the support of the people he loved. Abandoned and left to survive along the roadside, he believed he had been forgotten.
Then an Embrace a Village outreach team stopped.
Today, Nandakumar has a safe place to call home, nourishing meals, medical care, and a community that treats him like family. His smile is a reminder that sometimes the greatest healing isn't physical—it's knowing someone cares.
