📸 You’re Invited! 🇺🇸

Join the Fenton Arts Council on Tuesday, October 20 for the Opening Reception of “The Backbone of America: Portraits of the People Who Keep America Working.”

This special photography exhibit celebrates the hardworking people who help keep our communities—and our country—moving forward. ❤️🤍💙

✨ 6:30PM — Special Recognition
We’ll begin the evening by honoring Nicole Schornberg and The Laundry’s J Waddell, two incredible supporters who have contributed so much to the Fenton Arts Council and our local arts community. Light appetizers and a cash bar will be available.

📸 7:00 PM — Exhibit Reception & Awards
Come meet the photographers, enjoy the exhibit, and celebrate as our top winners are announced and prizes are awarded!

🎶👽 The invasion begins with a single note...

Last week, our cast, musicians, and creative team gathered for the sitzprobe of War of the Worlds. A sitzprobe (German for "seated rehearsal") is the first time performers and orchestra come together to rehearse the score, blending music and storytelling into one thrilling experience.

This production is made even more special through our partnership with the , whose talented musicians are helping bring the drama, excitement, and suspense of this iconic science fiction tale to life.

Hearing the music fill the room for the first time reminded us just how epic this journey will be. We can't wait to share it with audiences soon!

Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes looks as we continue preparing for mankind's encounter with the Martians.

🎨✨ ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Lori Perrigo Sowle

The Fenton Arts Council is excited to shine the spotlight on artist Lori Perrigo Sowle, whose beautiful abstract paintings are currently on display at the Fenton Beale St. Gallery!

Through layers of color, movement, and texture, Lori creates captivating works that explore the spaces between darkness and light, turbulence and calm, and concealment and revelation.

Her intuitive approach allows each painting to evolve naturally, inviting viewers to pause, look beyond the surface, and discover their own personal connections within the artwork.

The Fenton Arts Council is excited to introduce our next solo artist featured at the Beale Street Gallery — Seth Bingham!

At 32 years old, Seth has already worn an impressive number of hats: photographer, piano teacher, scientist, cyclist, leatherworker, and even professional aquarium cleaner. But over the past year, he made the conscious decision to embrace another role, one that has actually been part of him for as long as he can remember:

For Seth, claiming that title has been a journey in itself.
