Spirit Animals are guides that can be with us for a season, a lesson, a lifetime, or several lifetimes... just like Spirit Guides. They can lend us their characteristics and natural instincts, and even explain some of our own personality traits.

When most people think of Spirit Animals, they think of the wolf, bear, or eagle. Which are lovely, but are not as commonplace as is believed. (When someone says "my spirit animal is the wolf", I assume they don't actually know.)

They are not limited to animals found on Earth. Spirit Animals and Totem Animals can be mythical creatures, extinct animals, insects, and sea life — the possibilities are endless. Whales are some of my favorites to see.
