💛🦃Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃 🧡
On this final day of thanks, we celebrate our amazing 2025 Committee! We began these posts honoring the two moms who started the State Road Craft Show, and it feels right to end with the team carrying their legacy into its 50th year.

This group showed incredible teamwork and supported each other every step of the way. From Sunday night meetings to nonstop group chats, late-night pep talks, and plenty of shared laughs, we formed and strengthened friendships that made this year unforgettable!

Together, we started new traditions with Santa and the Grinch, hosted our largest vendor count ever, created a beautiful basket raffle/vendor collaboration and were even spotlighted by multiple news outlets.

To this year’s committee—
Thank you for your dedication, humor, and unstoppable hearts! What a phenomenal group of mommas. I’m so grateful to have worked alongside each of you!

Here’s to the 50th—and to the friendships and memories that will last long after the craft show lights go out. 💛✨

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

💛 Day 9: Honoring the Legacy of Our Past Members 💛
Today, we honor and celebrate the past Chair Members of the State Road Craft Show—the leaders whose dedication, creativity, and heart have shaped this beloved tradition for 50 incredible years.

This year’s 50th Anniversary Show was a huge success, but it wouldn’t have been possible without the foundation built over every year that came before it. Each Chair, each committee, and each volunteer brought something special to the table: a deep love for our State Road Elementary students, fresh ideas, and the determination to overcome every challenge along the way.

From outgrowing the elementary school and making the move to the High School, to navigating a pandemic and everything in between, every hurdle was met with teamwork and passion. What began in 1975, as a simple idea from two moms hoping to raise money for student needs, has grown into the incredible community event we celebrate today.

To all the past Chair Members and the countless parents who poured their time, energy, and hearts into making this year—and every year—a success:
Thank you. ❤️

Your hard work, vision, and commitment have carried the Craft Show through five decades, and the legacy you’ve built will continue to benefit our students for years to come.

Here’s to 50 years—and to all who made it possible. 🌟

✨ The 8th day of Gratitude ✨

❤️To our wonderful parents and volunteers—thank you for stepping in wherever needed. From setup and taping, to helping during the show, to staying for cleanup, your time and willingness made all the difference. We are so grateful for the way you show up for our school.

Thank you for your generous basket raffle donations, which helped make this year’s raffle another success! And a special thank-you to the Tomek Elementary PTO for the festive Winter basket—it brought so much joy! ❄️💙

We also want to recognize two State Road moms who went above and beyond:

🧡 Jaclyn Burgess – Thank you for storing all of our craft show supplies during this renovation. Your patience, flexibility, and willingness to meet us anytime we needed something meant so much!

🧡 Honna Minnick – Thank you for staying well past your volunteer hours, helping hang balloons, assisting with cleanup, and doing it all with a smile. Your positivity was truly appreciated.

This milestone year was special because of each of you! Thank you for your kindness, your time, and your support🙏❤️

🎄 Day 7- Visits From the Grinch & the Clauses 🎄

Today we’re celebrating the holiday magic makers who brought so much joy to the 50th Annual State Road Craft Show!

First, a huge shoutout to the Grinch 💚
With almost no notice, he stepped into some very large shoes and absolutely STOLE the show— in true Grinch fashion. His expressions, energy, and spot-on personality made it feel like a scene from the movie was happening right in front of us. Thank you for jumping in and creating unforgettable moments for everyone!

And to Mr. and Mrs. Claus— thank you for making time to visit Fenton, especially so close to Christmas! Your warm smiles and festive spirit lit up the day. Guests of every generation, from the very young to those simply young at heart, loved seeing you both. ❤️🎅🤶

Day 7 was filled with holiday cheer thanks to these three incredible visitors.

See you tomorrow for Day 8! 🎁

🎨 1. Suzette at Visual Impressions
Huge gratitude to Suzette, whose creative talent has supported our craft show for years. She continues to amaze us with her beautiful flyer designs, and this year she went above and beyond by creating a brand-new banner and matching yard signs that truly brought our event to life. One day of gratitude just wasn’t enough—so we’re celebrating with 10 days of thank you’s to honor the people who made it all possible!

Day 1: Where it all began!
✨ Toadie Middleton & Marlene Fagerman ✨
Today, we proudly recognize Toadie Middleton and Marlene Fagerman, the original founders of the State Road Craft Show. Founded in 1975! What began as a small, heartfelt idea to keep the kids of State Road safe and off the streets— no more door-to-door with sales—grew from a 40-vendor event at the elementary school to eventually becoming the grand celebration we know today! The craft show now funds the entire PTO yearly budget of State Road Elementary!

Because of these two visionary women and their dedication, the craft show has flourished for 50 amazing years. Their dream planted the roots for a tradition that now brings joy, community, and creativity to thousands.
Thank you, Toadie and Marlene, for your passion, your vision, and the legacy you created. 💛

Stay tuned for Day 2 tomorrow as we continue our 10 days of gratitude! 🌟
