There's an imbalance in the equation, and it's tipped toward mega-corporations

Here at Hartland Fire we care for all creatures great and small. A kind member of the public needed assistance getting this sweet injured fawn out of the woods. It is now on the way to Howell Nature Center.

A quick reminder for everyone: If you ever find a baby deer alone, it is usually best to leave it undisturbed. Mother deer intentionally hide their fawns for hours at a time while they forage for food. However, if the fawn is visibly injured or crying constantly like this one was, please don't try to handle it yourself. Call the professionals or a licensed wildlife rehabilitator right away to keep both yourself and the animal safe!

Our needs change all the time.

One week we may be short on cereal, juice, or soup for the Free Choice Market. The next week we may be looking for toddler pajamas, sippy cups, or baby shoes for the Baby Closet. As families come through our doors, the needs we see change right along with them.

That's why we keep our Current Needs page updated on our website.

If you're thinking about making a donation, organizing a collection drive, or simply want to know what would help most right now, take a quick look before you shop. It helps ensure that your generosity goes directly toward the items families need today, not what they needed last month.

Current needs can be found here:

https://www.fentoncenterofhope.org/current-needs

Every donated item represents a family being cared for, a parent finding relief, and a community coming together to share hope.

Thank you for helping us meet needs as they arise.
