Fennville Transition Group

Fennville Transition Group Our first meeting was in Oct of 2010 at the Fennville Public Library. The group was started by three local people: KoKo, Dana and Marilyn.

All three are active with the Transition Van Buren Allegan parent group. The first meeting was attended by about 14 people and subsequent meetings have had a similar attendance, with new people coming along. We plan to meet regularly in the fall-winter months (Sept-April) with no regular meetings during the summer months (May-Aug) People around here are just too busy working hard and enjoying the

warm months to want to take time for meetings. Hopefully, people will continue to attend social events together and other opportunities to get together and move forward with our projects. One of the best things about attending the meetings is getting to know our neighbors who are like minded, and many are already preparing for energy descent. At the Feb. 3, 2011 meeting we had an informal seed exchange that was tons of fun. We save money on seeds by collecting and sharing. Also, we help promote heirloom, virile seeds and biodiversity.
