Today is niagara falls runs dry day! On this day march 29th 1848, the falls ran dry for around 40 hours due to ice blockages. But did you know the falls went dry another time in 1969 when it was dammed up. In 1969, the US Army Corps of Engineers dumped 27,000 tons of rock to dam the Niagara River and stop the American Falls. They were assessing a growing pile of boulders at the bottom out of concern the falls could become rapids. What a sight to see!

Greetings Friends!
This year's Robert Burns Supper will be tabled. We are not having it. I'm under the weather and really don't have the energy this year to tackle all the details this event requires. I'm sorry to miss you all this year. It's an event I have enjoyed creating. Stay well and we'll see you next year.

Hey friends!!
Robert Burns Supper plans have been cumbersome this year. I'm weathering many difficulties in logistics. We currently have Bruno's BBQ upstairs dining room booked for the evening of January 19th. With Celtic music Cailleachphonia (sounds of the winter goddess) pipes, drums and whistles by Jay Salter and Alan Wood.
Details of ticket sales coming shortly.
