We are active and thriving and want our veterans to know we care and we are here for you and will be here for a long time ahead to welcome our veterans home.

My first thanks to God, the rain pushed off and our annual Memorial Day ceremony was able to be held in our memorial park. Thanks also to all the people and community organizations who came out today to honor the people who make this the greatest country on Earth. I am so blessed to live in a town that gathers each year to celebrate in this way. Finally so many thanks to Felton Fire Company, without your support it would not have been possible.

NOTICE: In the event that this weekend’s weather pattern holds on into Monday, our Memorial Day Ceremony will be held in one of the engine bays of the Felton Fire Company. They have graciously offered this to allow us the opportunity to honor our comrades on this day. The ceremony starts at 10:00am as originally advertised.

The Bowers Beach Buccaneer Bash is unfortunately cancelled this year. I respect the organizers for making this very difficult decision. Thank you for making safety your #1 priority. We look forward to celebrating with you next year!

We are a week away from Memorial Day. Please remember the men and women who saw that freedom was worth everything. This weekend we honored the veterans of our community who were laid to rest in St. James AME Cemetery in Frederica, Mt. Olive and Hopkins Cemeteries in Felton. We have a cherished history here and never want to forget their sacrifices. We owe them everything. For as long as we live, the flag that represents our freedom will fly above you.

Thank you Felton! We had a beautiful day for a food drive and so many friendly smiling faces and the waves and car horn t***s! It’s incredible belonging to such a warm community. Next you will find us at the Bowers Buccaneer Bash and the Frederica Farmer’s Market.
