**Road Closure**

N University Ave between Vesper Ave and Morris Ave is closed due to poles down in the area.

*Update* Delmarva Power is on the scene. Roadway closed extended period of time. No ETA for the return of power to the effected area.

In a yearly tradition, the members of Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company attended the annual Maryland State Firefighter's Association Parade on Saturday June 20th. This year's parade was moved from Ocean City, where it was held for many years, to downtown Berlin. In preparation for the event, our membership put in many hours cleaning and preparing the apparatus which allowed us to put on display the pride we have in our department.

Thank you to the Town of Berlin and the Berlin VFC for hosting and amazing event as it was well attended by parade watchers as well as many fire departments from across Maryland and Delaware.

The Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company cannot begin to express how much we appreciate our local residents. They come through for us everytime we have a need. Thank you so much Mrs. Denise Rosenkranse for the generous donation of water and sports drinks to be utilized on emergency incidents. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!

Today, Friday June 12th, members of the Federalsburg Volunteer Fire Company participated in Career Day at Federalsburg Elementary School. Approximately 95 students stopped by and had an opportunity to check out the personal protective gear and tools members use during fire responses and learn about equipment used by our personnel on emergency medical calls. The students were engaged and asked alot of question regarding what it takes to be a Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician. Thank you to the staff at FES for the invite! See you this fall for Fire Prevention Week!
