Don't put that fishing gear away yet! A scout from Scouts BSA Troop #307 snagged a fish Sunday at Steel Lake Park!

As the weather cools this fall, so does the water temperature. Hungry trout move to shallower waters creating the best fishing opportunities since May and early June. This also provides a great time for shore fishing. Many anglers prefer this method as it provides an opportunity to involve more family members and friends.

The WDFW 10th Annual Trout Derby continues through October 31st. There are still hundreds of tagged trout ready to be caught. Find out more about the donors and the derby on our derby webpage (www.wdfwderby.com).
