Nutritional Wellness Project USA

Nutritional Wellness Project USA Nutritional Wellness Project USA is changing the way nutrition education is delivered.

Instead of quick handouts or one-size-fits-all advice, we provide immersive, one-hour educational seminars that teach kids, parents, and women how to fuel their bodies.

I spoke to Backstage Performing Arts , this was actually my first time speaking to children under 12. Typically, I speak to older kids because that’s usually the age where they really start paying attention to their health and wanting to make better choices on their own.

This seminar was different because I had to focus on speaking to the parents just as much as the children. Parents are the key in these situations. Everything starts from the top, and for kids, that starts with what’s being cooked and taught at home.

When I was younger, my brother struggled with his weight, and honestly, if my mom had known then what she knows now, she would’ve gladly cooked meals like the ones inside this plan. Unfortunately, growing up in the 90s, there just wasn’t the education or awareness around nutrition that there is today. He went the wrong route by eating less instead of learning how to eat better.

That’s why my goal for every child is never to grow up thinking they need to “go on a diet.” I want them to learn how to add more of the right foods, fuel their bodies properly, and build healthy habits early. I would always rather see a child eating more nourishing foods than growing up afraid of food altogether.

I’m always grateful for opportunities like this where I can speak, connect with families, and give them an actual plan they can walk away with.

I recently spoke at the Heidi Knight School of Dance, and they were easily one of the most engaged groups I’ve ever worked with.
It was great to see how much they wanted to learn. We stayed quite a while after the seminar just going through questions. Since some of these kids are heading to college soon, they are interested in learning how to fuel their bodies correctly for the next chapter.
I really do root for every one of these kids to stay healthy. That’s exactly why I do what I do with the Nutritional Wellness Project USA.
I just want to help. My goal is to be a resource for kids, teenagers, and adults to help simplify nutrition and make it a lifestyle, not a diet.
I am looking to do more of these seminars for schools, teams, and organizations. If you think this could help your group, please reach out. I’d love to help however I can.
On a personal note, I wanted to share that one of these sweet girls, Alleigh Kirkland, was in a car accident that very same night.
I have had her in my prayers nonstop. With my own daughter being almost 13, I know the driving age is coming up fast. My prayers are with every child out there on the road.
It is such a reminder of how precious these kids are and why it is so important to support them in every way we can.

Spending time with these girls from Richland High School was a great experience. I really enjoyed them. They were so sweet, and you could tell they genuinely wanted to learn and were paying attention to everything.

I got to walk them through a nutrition seminar and give them a simple meal plan to help them start learning how to eat in a way that actually fuels them.

This is something I genuinely love doing. Being able to help them understand how to take care of their bodies in a realistic way is important to me.

I can’t wait for the questions to start coming in from their coach as they get going on their plan.

I’m looking forward to continuing this with more schools, more teams, and more communities.

Nutritional Wellness Project -
Please help me reach the people who work directly with our kids. If you know a school, dance studio, gym, church group, homeschool group, or sports team that would benefit from this, please share this post and tag them. I offer this as a free service and I am currently scheduling, I just need the right contacts and a place provided for me to set up.
(everyone walks away with a meal plan, and recipes included.)

I also use a real life example the kids instantly understand. I point out that my husband has big muscles, which means his “sponge” is bigger. Because of that, his body can handle carbohydrates better. The goal is not just eating healthy, it is building strong, healthy bodies. The more muscle we have, the better our body can use the food we eat. So I teach them how to eat well and also encourage them to move, train, and stay active.

Sunday’s children’s seminar was a full hour of hands-on demonstrations and honestly this is why I love doing it.

In the video you’ll see the sponge demonstration. I explain to the kids that food doesn’t just disappear after we eat it. Some of what we eat gets used by the body, but whatever the body cannot properly use has to go somewhere. So we talked about the two buckets.

One bucket is body fat.

The other bucket is the things you cannot see. I even put an eyeball on it so they remember. That bucket can be high blood sugar, cholesterol, inflammation, and other internal problems that don’t show up on the outside yet.

At the beginning we also talked about money. I teach them calories like a bank account. You have a certain amount you can spend. If you stay within your budget your body runs well. When you constantly go over budget, the overflow goes into one of those two buckets. The sponge helps them SEE it instead of just hearing words.

The kids were engaged, laughing, and participating the whole time. They didn’t just sit and listen. They understood. Sometimes one simple visual can change how a child thinks about food forever.

I also want to say I’m so sorry to the families who messaged last minute about sickness in the home. I truly hope everyone is feeling better and on the mend.
