You Don’t Have to Be ‘Good’ at Speaking

You don’t need experience to visit Toastmasters.
You don’t need to be polished.
Most of us joined because we wanted to get better — not because we already were.

Tuesday's Chamber Chatter meeting was such a fun one — and a great reminder of how much growth is happening in this group.

We had terrific speeches, members stepping into roles they weren’t used to (which is where the real growth happens), and even welcomed a couple of new members — our club is growing!

📚 Word of the Day: Sophisticated — and we definitely heard it used in some pretty creative ways 👀

What stood out most was the willingness to step up, try something new, and support each other along the way.

The Timer is responsible for tracking how long each speaker talks—and signaling when they’ve reached key points using colored cards:
🟢 Green – you’re on track
🟡 Yellow – time is almost up
🔴 Red – time’s up

Simple? Yes.
Powerful? Absolutely.

Because learning to speak within a time limit isn’t just a Toastmasters skill—it’s a life skill.
