Congrats to Tammy and Tom, the lucky winners of a free rain barrel from yesterday's Lunch n' Learn at !
A one in storm on a 1,000 square foot roof generates over 600 gallons of free rainwater. Capturing even a fraction of this volume in rain barrels can serve as a cost-effective alternative to using tap water for watering landscapes and gardens.

How to dispose of used fireworks:
Submerge your used fireworks in water before sealing them in a plastic bag and placing them in a trash bin. Fireworks produce a lot of tiny trash too- plan to sweep that up before it travels into storm drains.
