Fayetteville’s Extreme Weather Response will be activated tomorrow Sunday, February 22nd. Guest check-in begins at 5pm at Potter’s House at Jefferson (612 S. College Avenue).

The current forecast shows a dramatic drop in temperature on Sunday evening. In preparation for a potential C.R.E.W. response we are looking for volunteers to help at Genesis Church of Fayetteville.

Happening this evening!

The 2026 State of the City will be held at 6:30 p.m. tonight, Feb. 10, at the Fayetteville Town Center, following the City Council agenda session.

Mayor Molly Rawn's formal address also will be streamed live on the City's YouTube channel. (Link to the channel's live stream in the comments below.) Afterward, the mayor will stay on stage with Matthew Moore, senior producer for KUAF's Ozarks At Large, and they will take a closer look at the ideas, decisions and priorities from the last year and how they impact the future.

Before the program, residents are encouraged to spend time in the lobby exploring tables hosted by multiple City departments with bond focus areas. Doors will open at 6 pm.

Free parking will be available in the Fayetteville Town Center deck, and the elevators will be open.

Due to anticipated winter weather this weekend, an Extreme Weather Response will be activated in Fayetteville starting Friday, Jan. 23, at 5 p.m. The Collaborative Response to Extreme Weather (CREW) team will continue to closely monitor weather conditions but anticipates the response will be activated until Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 6 a.m.

CHECK-IN
Cold weather shelter check-in will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday at Potters House (612 S. College Ave.). Guests may also pre-register at the 7hills Day Center (1832 S. School Ave.) on Friday. Questions about check-in or transportation throughout the cold weather activation can be directed to the Cold Weather Hotline at 479-259-2428.

Due to the expected cold temperatures on Monday, January 19, 2026, the extreme-weather response will be activated in Fayetteville to ensure community members have access to safe, warm shelter.

MONDAY MORNING
The 7hills Day Center will open at 6 a.m. Monday, January 19, due to a temperature dip that occurs at sunrise.

MONDAY EVENING
Shelter Check-In Begins at 5 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026
Community members needing overnight shelter should report to Potter's House for assignments. Potter’s House (sometimes referred to as Jefferson Elementary) is located at 612 S. College Avenue.

Check-in begins at 5:00 p.m.
Dinner and breakfast will be provided
