Update for the Gaited Horse Show this Saturday!

We’re going to shoot for a 6:30 PM start time this Saturday! Hopefully that gives us a little relief from the heat.

Championship Class Update:
For the Championship class, we will be doing payback only with ribbons — no trophies will be awarded for this show.

Come out, bring your horses, and let’s have a great evening. We can’t wait to see everyone in the arena!

See y’all Saturday at 6:30!

Unfortunately, due to weather and scheduling circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our August Stock Show.

While we're disappointed we won't get to see everyone this month, the safety of our exhibitors, horses, and spectators always comes first.

We can't wait to see everyone at our Gaited Horse Show on August 22nd, and then back in the arena for our next Stock Show on September 12th!

Thank you all for your continued support of the association. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone soon!

Due to the weather expected to move into our area this evening, today's stock show has been canceled. The safety of our riders, horses, families, volunteers, and spectators is always our top priority.

We know everyone was looking forward to today's show, and we appreciate your understanding. We are already working on the logistics of rescheduling the August show and will update everyone once a decision has been made.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the arena soon! Stay safe!

We are continuing to monitor the weather for tomorrow. The final decision will be made tomorrow at 10:00am. We hope the weather passes and we can put on a good show. Thank you for working with us and being patient!

As we have grown as a club and added new members, we feel we need to address some concerns and clear up some rules. This post is not for anyone but to address and make sure we can continue to harness the atmosphere that we are trying to achieve. Last month’s show was one of the examples that we strive for. One horse was having some issues and everyone jumped in to help and grabbed medicine and helped to the best we were able to. This is a great example of what we are trying to achieve.

Show attire: as we love seeing full show attire, we do ask that the exhibitors look presentable. Nice pair of jeans and a good T shirt will meet our rules easily. We just ask that no flip flops, shorts or Tank tops be worn to show in. We understand the heat, and this is why we are moving to the night shows to help with the heat.

We are also asking that everyone should be respectful of the atmosphere while people are showing. If the Judge looks away due to someone hollering outside of the pen this is a distraction that should not be happening. We will give everyone a warning at first, but then you will be asked to leave the grounds. We have not had this happen in years but wanted to bring it to everyone’s attention moving forward as we have had some concerns.

At the end of the day, we want to be the Horseman’s association that anyone can ask for, as we have been around for over 50 years and we need to keep it going for the next 50 years. Here's what's coming up over the next few weeks:

July 31 – Arena Closed
The arena will be closed to members as the 4-H will host their Walking Horse Show.

August 1 | 5:30 PM – Stock Horse Night Show
To help keep our riders, horses, volunteers, and spectators safe during the summer heat, this show will begin at 5:30 PM. We hope you'll join us for a fun evening at the arena!

Open Arena Night – TBD
We're working on scheduling our next Open Arena Night and will announce the date as soon as it's finalized. We are also planning a board and member meeting for this night.

August 22 | 5:00 PM – Country Boy Gaited Show
Mark your calendars and come enjoy another great evening of showing! We had a great turn out for our July show, and we are excited to see even more riders and spectators in August.

We appreciate everyone's patience and flexibility as we work around the summer weather. Stay tuned for updates, and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
