Initial Assessment
The initial assessment allows us to determine what their needs are and to put together a plan to address those needs. We primarily work in three areas: Medical, Job Placement/Training, and/or Displaced/Homeless. We offer long term solutions for their needs as well as assist in emergency needs such as food and shelter. We try to start them out on a strong foundation and help the
m build on themselves a self confidence to move forward. Training and Education
We offer classes in everything from resume and job applications to how to deal with your medical issue to banking and a budget. Through building some core techniques, we hope to help the veteran stand again. We have a lending closet for veterans so that the are dress appropriately for interviews and increase their chances of getting employment. We also train employers on the issues of veteran and the advantages of hiring them. Job Placement and Continued Care
We work with local employers to help place the veteran in the best place for his military experience and medical needs. We assist the veteran in determining who and what employer will be a benefit to them both. After job placement, we continue office visits in order to assess the placements and any needs that have to be addressed. We speak with the employer as well to assure that both parties are benefiting. After Care
We will stay in contact with the veteran through office and home visits and continue to mentor them and provide assistance in any way that deem necessary. We encourage the veteran to become a part of our mentoring program. This will not only help them to continue in a productive manner but allow them to help another veteran in need. We believe that through the help of one; many will benefit.
