Karen Chandler Trust, Inc. - Cancer Charity KCT operates without overhead - every penny raised goes to help families in the Fayetteville community suffering the financial strain of battling cancer.

We put on serval events a year as funraisers and love to have community volunteers to help. Named for a gifted local musician who lost her long struggle with cancer, The Karen Chandler Trust (KCT) is a Carolina-based 501(c) (3) charity. Since 1999, KCT has provided emergency assistance to local families struggling with the non-medical costs of cancer --- expenses like rent, food, utility bills, and transportation.

Due to the weather today’s Rock’n On the River show with Mostly Crue and FEAR STATE has been rescheduled to Friday Aug. 28th. The rain is supposed to stop, but the conditions of the area is the biggest concern.

Here is the long awaited line up for Mosh Out Cancer 2 on Aug. 1st! We will open at 6:00 PM and the show will kick off at 6:30 with Decay Hooray (former band members from Fire for Scarecrow and All She Wrote) playing their first show. The next band is their first reunion in years, Legacy Kills. There is a buzz going around the Fayetteville Music Scene that Chad and the guys are working to finally finish their long awaited album before this show. Following them is one of Fayetteville’s Hottest Young bands Ethris. They have a great sound that has built a strong following. FEAR STATE will headline and close out the night. They are known for their High Energy Rock Show and sound that goes back to Nu Metal with a modern vibe. They always give you everything they have and leave you wanting more. Tell all your friends the VFW Post 670 on Doc Bennet Rd will be the place to be on Aug. 1st! As one of Fayetteville’s Music Icons Dominique Womack said after the first one, “If the Karen Chandler Trust is putting in a Rock Concert, Don’t Miss It!” Remember this isn’t just a Rock Show, it’s a Rock Show for a GREAT Cause! Thank you to everyone that came out last night to support Rock’n on the River. We especially Thank Greg Adair for putting on another great Free Family Event! We like to also give a BIG Shout out to Cindy Mangiboyat and Robert “Rooster” Kitchen for working the Adult refreshment tent! And a Big Thank you to Reflections II Band and Shoot to Thrill! We hope to see you guys back next month, June 19th with Mostley Crue with Special guests FEAR STATE kicking off the show at 6 PM! Tell all your friends about it!
