Karen Chandler Trust, Inc. - Cancer Charity KCT operates without overhead - every penny raised goes to help families in the Fayetteville community suffering the financial strain of battling cancer.

We put on serval events a year as funraisers and love to have community volunteers to help. Named for a gifted local musician who lost her long struggle with cancer, The Karen Chandler Trust (KCT) is a Carolina-based 501(c) (3) charity. Since 1999, KCT has provided emergency assistance to local families struggling with the non-medical costs of cancer --- expenses like rent, food, utility bills, and transportation.

Recently we’ve gotten Karen’s nephew Kord to come to our meetings and he’s been able to share some of his stories of his Aunt with us and how she was a musical influence to him.
What we love is his knowledge of who she was and he can share some of the things she did. Check out this recording of her and her band playing this classic!

Tonight’s the night!!! As Bernie said on Rock 103 yesterday the advanced ticket link shut off at midnight so you have to buy your tickets at the door. But don’t let that stop you from Rocking for a GREAT cause!!! We’d like to thank EVERYONE that bought advanced tickets! Your names will be at the door. We’ve had to beef up security for safety reasons so make sure you leave any weapons at home or in your vehicle. Feel free to be there early to line up. The VFW does serve food and the Sugar Snacks Food Truck will be there as well for your hunger needs. We hear they cook some delicious egg rolls, but you gotta be there early! We are looking forward to tonight. Remember this is not just a Rock Concert, it’s a Rock Concert for a GREAT cause! Please feel free to share with all your friends!

Ladies and gentlemen we introduce you to Fire for Scarecrow ()….
Fire for Scarecrow is a band from Fayetteville, NC that formed in 2023. Known for a blend of hardcore and southern metal, the band has released several songs on all major streaming platforms. Ronnie (guitar) , Mike (bass) , and John (drums) have played together since the early 2000’s in various bands such as Life Before Machine, Somewhere Infinity and All She Wrote. With the addition of Brandon (vocals) , Fire for Scarecrow formed and set out on a course of hip shakin and b***y quakin.
