Creek Cleanup Project

Creek Cleanup Project The Creek Cleanup Project is 501c3 Non-profit Organization Dedicated To Cleaning Our Waterways.

CCP was created to be a standing group/organization to not only clean up the local waterways but maintain them on a regular basis, along with keeping the trash out of our waters we want to remove fallen trees and other debris that pose a immediate threat to people that paddle or float the waterways. Our mission is simple, goals achievable, there is no other group like CCP in Franklin County, we are starting small but we will grow and become more effective and efficient in our tasks.

No one cared before me, If I walk, stop fighting for it, it'll all fall back to what it was.

That's not a flex but a fact, doesn't what I believe, ain't no one stepping up, my bad day is your best day.

You know why I don't care about these citations or awards?

It's cool to be recognized, it's cool to get the that a boy pat on the back.

Fact is, the acknowledgement doesn't help me do what I do, they gave me a pat on the back and a citation that I can be prideful about, but it doesn't really help my cause.

I guess it's cool, I'd have rather them found a way to dispose of the tires and trash, actually created a legit pathway for my work and other like us, instead I got some worthless document that says we are the best and no help beyond that.

That's why none of it means anything to me, I don't do what I do out or pride or for recognition.

It's getting harder and harder to get rid of tires, they didn't help me out anywhere there.

So yeah its cool but it's trash to, I can be like look we are the best, then have to pay for our own tire disposal if we can find a place that will accept them.

I appreciate the gesture but the benefits are zero.

While everone else is talking and doing the bare minimum, themselves on the back.

Someone somewhere noticed the difference, not that I want it or do it for notoriety, I honestly could careless.

I got these things by accident, a byproduct of my work, I don't even have them, gave them to Isabelle.

I don't do what I do for personal gain, it's something that needs done, I realize I'm not changing the world, never wanted to or thought I could.

The one thing I can and could do was clean the Conococheague, doesn't matter if you care or not, doesn't matter to me if you care about it.

But this one time, I'm gonna take pride in the last 9 years, and ask you, who did it better?

Ya'll have a goodnight, their still ain't no competition, they can talk but they ain't about it.

The first paragraph from Congress, in that citation is, Lauded at the largest most aggressive waterway cleanup in the history of Franklin County.

I got all that without even trying. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Happy Birthday Isabelle!!!

I care about alot of people deeply, really my whole community, even if they don't see it, I do the best I can by them and the best I can do for them, Isabelle has been with me on that mission.

If you asked me about the one person, I care the most about the most about it's Isabelle.

That's my daughter, my pride not always my joy lol she's a handful sometimes.

I have next to nothing and I'm happy with my life, and thankful to all the people that are in my life.

I'm blessed to live this life, it sure didn't start out this way, but I am truly thankful for all the people around me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISABELLE!!!

Well that cleanup didn't happen, the water is so low, we weren't dragging boats all day.

We'll try somewhere else next weekend, we'll go back for that after a good rain, typically we run that in the winter and with all the rain I'd hoped it would have been manageable.

It's also Isabelles birthday weekend, so there's plenty of other things to do for tomorrow.

People assume there is federal or state funding for the work we do.

There really isn't, if you want it done, you just have to do it and figure it out how to fund it and make it work, the best you can hope for trash disposal from the government.

Literally every waterway in our country is trashed, many far worse than our local area, there are exceptions mid west and in lightly populated areas in the north, otherwise they are all trashed, anywhere there is a populated section along any creek or river.

The only way they get it cleaned, is by people and groups like mine, otherwise nothing has been done for centuries and nothing will be done.

The only way to help is to physically show up or donate, otherwise the waterways will just remain trashed, just like it has been for generations prior, and for those to come.

If there was local, state, or federal funding, there would be groups like CCP and far better everywhere doing this work.
