πŸ’œ Making Connections That Matter!

On Wednesday, October 14, Connections of Cumberland County had the pleasure of participating in the Non-Profit Vendor Fair, hosted by the Fayetteville Chamber as part of its Leadership Fayetteville program!

This unique event put a fun twist on networking with a "speed dating" format, giving participants the opportunity to learn about the incredible work local nonprofits are doing to strengthen our community.

We were thrilled to connect with 22 leaders from across Cumberland County, sharing our mission, exchanging ideas, and building relationships that can help make a lasting difference for the women and children we serve.

A huge thank you to the Greater Fayetteville Chamber for organizing such an engaging event at the Cumberland County Main Library! We're grateful for every opportunity to share our story and connect with those who are passionate about making our community stronger. πŸ’œ

🚨 CLUE #3: WE HAVE A WITNESS

Someone was seen leaving the break room around the time of the candy-napping carrying a suspiciously full tote bag.

The witness couldn't see their face, but remembers seeing a similar tote bag sitting by the front door as staff was gearing up to leave on Friday.

The suspect pool is shrinking. πŸ”Ž

🚨 CLUE #2: A RANSOM NOTE HAS APPEARED

Investigators arrived at Connections this morning to find a message from the Candy Kidnapper:

β€œTHE CANDY IS SAFE..... FOR NOW.
STOP LOOKING OR THE GOOD STUFF GETS IT.”

There was one problem. The candy-napper may have accidentally left something behind…

Who do you think is looking guilty now?

🚨 THE CANDY KIDNAPPING: CLUE #1

The candy bucket was confirmed full late Friday afternoon. By Monday morning, the candy had vanished.

Investigators found some strange evidence laying next to the empty bucket.

Does any of it belong to our candy kidnapper... or did someone leave them there to throw us off the trail? Look closely.

Who are you suspicious of already?

A heartfelt thank you to Peace Presbyterian Church for generously donating 20 BBQ plates from their fundraiser last Saturday to the clients of Connections of Cumberland County! 🍽️

This thoughtful gesture provided more than a delicious meal. It was a reminder to the women and children we serve that their community sees them, supports them, and is cheering them on.

We are incredibly grateful to Peace Presbyterian Church for choosing to share their fundraiser with our clients and for helping us continue to surround local families with care and support.

Thank you for saving a seat at the table for Connections! πŸ’œ
