TEAMworks TEAMworks International: Is a team of therapists who travel internationally, seeking to improve the lives and futures of children.

TEAMworks is a group of physical, occupational, and speech therapists who are seeking to improve the lives and futures of special needs children locally and internationally. Currently, we travel to Guatemala and Ukraine where therapy is not typically provided and help by offering equipment and education to those caring for the children to improve their quality of life. ool program that provides adaptive acting and art classes to children with special needs to help get them involved in the community by promoting social skills and confidence with their peers. Heroes for Kids: Is an initiative that raises money to pay for equipment such as bikes, trikes, and jogging stroller to help families who have kids with special needs to get outdoors, get active and to have fun together.

There are so many moments from this year’s TEAMworks trip that we’ll never forget, but one lesson continues to stand out:

“For the One.”

Anna summed it up beautifully:

“One of the major themes of this trip was ‘For the One.’ Just as Jesus taught in the parable of the lost sheep, He leaves the ninety-nine to search for the one who is lost. Throughout this trip, we saw many examples of what it means to care for ‘the one.’ For example, we brought a large collection of puzzles without truly knowing why we were packing so many, but there was one young girl who absolutely loved puzzles and often depended on them during camp to reduce elopement. She happily completed every puzzle we had. She was the one.

Along with that, we brought six wheelchairs, and one little girl was fitted for one of them. As we reflected, we realized that her wheelchair might have been the one left behind if we had only brought five. God reminded us that the effort, the travel, the preparation, and the time are all worth it—for the one.”

This is why we go. To love, serve, and remind every child and every family that they are seen, known, and deeply valued.

Sometimes the greatest impact isn’t measured by the number of people reached, but by faithfully showing up for the one God places in front of you. 💙☀️

Four years ago, one of our physical therapists met this sweet boy during her first trip to Belize.

Since then, each visit has been another opportunity to encourage him, adjust his equipment, and celebrate his progress.

This year, he was fitted with donated braces that fit him perfectly and received his very first pair of forearm crutches. Watching him quickly gain confidence and take steps with them was a moment our team won’t forget.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to use our therapy expertise to help children and families around the world while sharing the love of Christ.

Our team had the opportunity to serve at the only school in Belize for children with special needs by repairing equipment, organizing classrooms, and creating individualized therapy resources for children and families we had already met.

We also worshiped alongside the local community, prayed over the week ahead, and prepared the pop-up therapy clinic and Vacation Bible School.

Every resource prepared, every piece of equipment repaired, and every prayer lifted was an opportunity to serve children and families with compassion. We’re thankful for the opportunity to use our skills to improve lives while sharing the love of Christ. All glory to God. ❤️

More than eight months of planning, countless prayers, and 13 bags of therapy equipment later… our team finally made it to Belize.

Before they ever arrived, God was already making a way. 💙

As our team checked in for their flight, every wheelchair fee was waived, and they made it through without paying any extra baggage fees for the therapy equipment they had packed. It was an unexpected blessing and a beautiful reminder that God provides for every detail.

We’re so grateful for His faithfulness as He went before our team.
