✨ THE POWER WENT OUT, BUT WE STILL HAD A REASON TO PRAISE!

Happy Super Sunday Night! October 11, 2026 💜

What a day! In the middle of my message this morning, we briefly lost power and our livestreams ended. A tornado was in the area, but thank God we were safe! 🙌🏾

Afterward, we celebrated my brother Paul and sister-in-love Sherry’s church anniversary. My cousin Darin brought a word so similar to what I had been sharing that morning. My heart is full tonight!

Sis, you may be tired from carrying responsibilities, praying for your family, or working toward a dream. Take a breath. Let God replenish you. Then keep taking those faithful steps. Even small steps matter. 🌿

Tonight, I’m thanking God for His protection through the storm—and the strength to keep flowing forward. ✝️✨

📅 Sign-Ups: October 19 – November 5, 2026 (or until spots are filled)

⏰ Monday – Thursday | 9 AM – 1 PM

Requirements:
✅ Must provide ID showing Cumberland County residency
✅ One food box per household

📦 Food Box Pickup:
Tuesday, November 24 | 10 AM – 2 PM

👓 Smart Glasses Are Getting New Rules In Cumberland County Schools

🏫 Smart glasses are becoming more popular, but Cumberland County Schools is setting some boundaries on how employees can use them while on the job.

👀 Under a new regulation approved by Superintendent Eric Bracy, school employees can still wear smart glasses, including prescription versions, but the electronic features must be turned OFF while performing school duties.

When turned on, Ai Glasses can typically:
✅ Take photos, videos, or livestream upon demand
✅ Listen to music / audio from built in speakers
✅ Get information from Ai searches
✅ Translate different languages
✅ Answer phone calls

🤔 Wearing the glasses isn’t the problem. It’s what the glasses can do, especially in classrooms and other areas where student and employee privacy matters.

♿ Employees who need smart glasses for disability-related reasons can request an exception through Human Resources. Approval must be given in advance, and certain features may still be restricted.

📱 What About Students?

🏫 Students already have rules against using wireless devices to record identifiable students or employees without consent while at school, on buses or at school-sponsored events.

📝 More Changes Could Be Coming

📚 A separate proposal would require employees, contractors and volunteers to get approval before recording inside classrooms or during school activities that aren’t open to the public.

⚖️ That proposal has NOT received final approval and still needs a vote by the full school board.
