Hui Aroha Ura NC

🌺 A Weekend of Culture, Growth & Celebration! 🌺

What an incredible weekend for Hui Aroha Ura NC!

This past weekend, Ares and Lily traveled to Geneva, Florida, to compete in the AOri Mai Tahitian Dance Competition, held alongside the Toa Afi Fire Knife Competition! 🔥

Ares brought home 2nd place in the Tamaroa category, while Lily advanced to the finals and proudly placed 4th!

Both had the incredible opportunity to train with two of Tahiti’s finest dancers and participate in dance and drumming workshops. Two additional members of our hui joined them to experience and celebrate the beautiful Polynesian culture.

We are so incredibly proud of our dancers and grateful for the knowledge, experiences, and memories they brought home. It’s about so much more than competition. It’s about cultural connection, growth, and sharing what we love! ❤️

Māuruuru roa! 🌺
