Good morning and thank you to everyone that participated in our fundraising raffle. Unfortunately the winning numbers were not sold so this past Thursday we dumped all the tickets into a bucket and drew names the old fashioned way. We have been in comminucation with the first and second place winners and can now congratulate Amy Grant for winning second place and Sue Rosenberry for winning the first prize! Congratulations ladies.

The raffle to award the player the free season based on ticket sales will be pulled and announced later this week.

Good morning. Board members will be visiting the teams at practices this week to start collecting sold/unsold tickets and money. If individuals need more time or tickets there is still time but we'd like to begin the bulk of the collections this week. You can give your items to the coaches so there is a single collection point. Thank you all very much for participating.

Dear Penn Express FC families,

Last week the respective boards of CYSA and Penn Express met to discuss options to better serve the soccer playing youth of Chambersburg and the surrounding area. From that discussion we decided the best thing we could do was merge the two clubs into one. With everyone's singular focus being on player opportunity and development, we believe that now is the right time to get the ball rolling on this project.

What's next?
We are expecting the overall process to take about a year. Administratively there is a long list of tasks to complete before we are truly one. In the meantime, both clubs will hold combined tryouts over the weeks May 15 and May 22, with the one tryout taking place at the Nitterhouse fields and the other at Norlo Park. Post tryout registration will continue as you are accustomed to. The link for everyone to register for tryouts is listed below. The tryout schedule for specific dates, times, and age groups is listed on the registration site.

What's going to change for this upcoming season (Fall 2023)?
Coincidentally, both clubs are in a situation where new uniforms are needed for the upcoming fall season. We are going to take the opportunity to outfit all players with a single uniform that will represent the club of the future.

CYSA and Penn Express teams in the same or similar age group will begin to train together during the week. This will allow everyone (coaches, players and parents) to begin to get to know each other and pool coaching knowledge to provide an even better training session for the players.

We are confident this merge will provide a strong platform for a continuously growing club that has player development at its core. As always, thank you for your support and continued participation.
