For 4 nights straight this week, people got together and created something wonderful together.
Just people, unplugged, making something real.
Cottage-core vibes are in swing for 2026 and Mount Sequoyah is here for it.
The room was full of conversation, concentration, laughter, and the steady rhythm of sewing machines at work, and they all walked away with a new hobby.

We can't wait to do this again! Keep an eye out for upcoming classes!

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to Music on the Mountain last night. Kalyn Fay brought such a powerful presence to the overlook, and the crowd was incredible. Nights like this remind us why we gather here in the first place.

Thank you for supporting the artists, the Mountain, and programs like this that bring our community together.

This program was made possible in part by a grant from the Division of Arkansas Heritage, funded by the Arkansas 1/8 Cent Conservation Tax (Amendment 75), with support from AEP SWEPCO and the Arkansas Heritage Foundation.

For World Environment Day, we’re celebrating new growth in the Mount Sequoyah rain garden.
Created with Beaver Watershed Alliance and Illinois River Watershed Partnership, this space helps protect local waterways while native plants begin taking root and thrive. Small growth. Lasting impact.

What started as a room full of strangers became a stage full of fearless weirdness, laughter, and surprising bravery. Huge thanks to the incredible Jules Taylor and everyone who joined us for the Comedy Improv series and final showcase at Mount Sequoyah Center.

The final culmination event was packed with quick wit, unexpected moments, and the kind of community magic that only happens when people are willing to play.

If you missed it this round, don’t worry. We’re planning another improv series this October, so keep your eyes on the Mountain. The laughs are coming back.

Summer should feel a little wild.
A little messy.
A little magical.

Camp Sequoyah is where kids unplug, jump into the pool, make art with their hands, run under the trees, and come home tired in the best possible way.

We still have a few spots for specific weeks available!

Camp is for ages 5–12 and runs Monday–Friday from 7:45 AM–5:15 PM. Lunch and snacks are included each day. Campers spend their days swimming, crafting, exploring nature, playing games, and building real friendships on the Mountain.

Because kids deserve more than another summer staring at a screen.
