This is great! Discipleship Focus is a Young Life ministry located at their campground in Branson. Every year college students from the region go through a summer long discipleship program, while they also work during the day at Silver Dollar City. So not only do they get to experience the training and lifelong memories and friendships, they get paid to work at a great place (plus free admission for the summer and discounts for places all over town). The camp is located across the street from Silver Dollar City. If you wear a Young Life shirt while visiting there, you're certain to be spotted by one of the leaders. Discipleship Focus was founded in 1977 as the brainchild of Will and Betty Wyatt, partnering Young Life and Silver Dollar City. Since that time, many Northwest Arkansas college students have participated.

Senior U of A leader focus Jacob Reeder!

Hello! My name is Jacob Reeder, I am from league city, Texas I graduated from the University of Arkansas, May 9th with a degree in Recreation and Sport Management, and I minored in outdoor leadership and sustainability. Starting in August, I will be moving to Denver, to participate in the Greenwood fellows program, where I plan to work in youth ministry in Greenwood Village.
This past year I’ve gotten the opportunity to work as a student staff in Northwest Arkansas Younglife.

I have been a Younglife leader at HAR-BER high school in Springdale Arkansas for 4 years now, and sadly my time there has come to a close. However there is joy! choosing Younglife as the outlet that God can use me in my four years at the University of Arkansas has been the biggest blessing. I learnt so much through my time here as well as working on student staff. God can work in a minute, so I’m super blessed he chose to work in four!

Serving high school guys has changed my desire for my career. And now I have a deep interest in international youth ministry!

The biggest thing I’ve learned and grown to appreciate, is that God is using us to preach his name not because he needs us because he’s madly in love with us, and wants us to grow in love with his as will serve him.

I’ll be forever grateful to Northwest Younglife!

Fire pit night. These are all former FHS guys returning home from their first year at colleges around the country, to just hang out and discuss their experiences with their high school Young Life leader.

From the leader - This is a campaigner group chat that is still staying in contact beyond high school. When this group started, they were freshmen in high school. Now they've all wrapped up their freshman year in college.

We had a wonderful time around my firepit. Lots to catch up on and laugh about. We talked about how the Lord has worked in our lives this past school year. Then we laughed some more.

I love these young men immensely. We are a band of brothers bound together by the Holy Spirit. I'm eternally grateful for this group of young men.

Last night we were able to serve and celebrate another year of our volunteer college leaders. These young people spend 10-15 hours a week, quietly serving teens, college students, teen moms and young people with disabilities, in our local communities.

Thats not a typical college student who gives up that much of their time, for 3-4 years. 18 of them are graduating this week. We’ll miss them and look forward to the new seniors filling their shoes.
